Hello,
I have never been one to use macro's in-game even though I have been here since launch. Now I have changed my tune and feel a few good macro's can be the difference between life and death from a BH attack. Let's help each other out against the BH menace. Post your favourite macro's such as Aura or valor lopping macros.
/cloak;
/sit;
/logout;
seriously, that is my favorite macro when playing my Jedi lately.
/rantRave;
/wavearms;
/pause 30;
/rantRave;
/whineAlot;
/logout;
/cancelAccount;
/pause 30;
/checkForums;
/rantRave;
Looks like this forum is what the BH's say it is, full of children who whine and complain about everything. Jedi forum is turning into a complete joke with you jedi trolls.
Oh its great reporting the trolls.

While after a year, I don't feel Im a noob anymore, I think macros help me spend more time enhoying the game. I use some macros and actually also enjoy coming up with new macros that do things I had never though of doing. Nothing is better than writing a macro, testing it out, fine tuning it and testing it till it does exactly what you want.
Now, macros also give the enlightened user "powers" over those he/she competes with.
Therefore, I will not normally teach others how to use them.
However, if SOE implements a master/padawan relationship theme, I will teach you all I know about macros. But first, go get yourself a coffee and a newspaper. Oh yeah, I take mine light and sweet and I read the New York Times. ![]()
and there better not be any creases in my paper. I hate that! lol
spread whatever foods you are using (see the jedi food thread if you don't know) and a psg across a toolbar, then map the following macro to a key using the keymap in options.
Macro Name: BhEats
/clear
/ui action toolbarPane05
/ui action toolbarSlot00
/ui action toolbarSlot01
/ui action toolbarSlot02
/ui action toolbarSlot03
i macro aura and valor. i used to macro infusion, but have not beenloading it lately. they are simple recursive macros and look like this (names and times may not be accurate..i'm not in game to check on them)
/aura self;
/pause 30;
/macro aura (or whatever you name it)
i also do a little macro for healing to work round that little targeting issue.
/forceheal self
i also have a food macro for use when i get attacked by a BH. it loads up my favorite buffs instantly. just set up your foods on an unused toolbar and the use /uiaction toolbarslotXX; (where XX is the location of the particular button). remember to begin with the /uiaction toolbarpaneXX (destination tool bar) and end with same command to return you to your main combat bar.
i don't use combat special macros because each fight is different.
also...consider adding /clear to your heal macros so you get rid of ny existing commands. this solves the problem of having to wait for cool down timers before healing.
Good luck to you...

man you are a little uptight rofl.
Ok, I use the following:
Food macro that is set up on the second toolbar.
Aura Macro: ForceAura; /pause 40 ; /tell self "Aura up" ;/pause 5; macro AuraM;
Same goes for Infusion and ValorIF I need it. You do not want to put up so many macros at once or even one at sometimes because:
a) You could be at a point in the fight where one hit means the death of your enemy, giving the opponet a chance to heal is bad
b) the macro WILL cancel actions (for instance say you are fighting and then want to heal the next action, well if the macro overides it you are DEAD)
I'm not saying Macros are not useful, they are in PvE.
There are NO usefull macros. As you said, macros can mean life and death. Running macros will lead you to your death.
The only two usefull macros I'd recommend aren't macros really
/forceheal self;
and the other one
/forceinfusion self;
That'll prevent healing someone else when you need to heal youself. Being a former Doc, I used the bactashot and bacta infusion icons because i'm used to them.
Other than than, if you really have a short attention span, use
/forceaura
/pause 45;
/macro forceaura
but that can kill you if you need to heal, or give the final blow and that macro loops at the wrong time. When people say that macros are bad, they are right.
