We would rather keep the premium pearls as they are - highly desirable and much better (in terms of the odds of getting higher stats) than normal pearls, but not drop them as casually as they dropped in the past.

SOE made a concious effort to make the krayt spawn go out of control.They were rare and premiums were rare.Once the BOOM hit it was different.Heck I killled juvies for premiums.Didnt always get a premium but the ratio was ok.(post boom)

One has to ask why did the krayt boom come about and why did they suddenly change their minds?

All you have to do is limit their (krayt)numbers and bring back the pre krayt boom drop rates and problem is solved.For the amount of pearls it took to make really good sabers NO ONE is going to produce a max damage saber quickly.

- I support keeping & balancing the original combat system You can too
One should not be envious of someone who has prospered by unjust deeds. Nor should he disdain someone who has fallen while adhering to the path of righteousness.

In a sick and twisted way I do hope this filters some people out of Jedi though... sad its come to this though, it really is.

rare = lol

powerful = lol

hard to grind = lol

risk? = lol

reward = still waiting or verdict still out take your choice but still = lol

Make this a starting profession and call it a day.. with all the respec Jedi and easy month grinds I think its time---we are no longer strong we just need to understand it and move on.

In the context of new development methods adopted within the past year by the studio responsible for Star Wars Galaxies, which a year ago saw several drastic changes to the game-world's overall experience, SOE's John Blakely and Todd Fiala issued a warning: "Don't make our mistakes."

The real intellectual dishonesty is that EVERY PVE ENCOUNTER IS FARMABLE, even on timers. Look at Necrosis.

So the rationale doesn't hold water.

None of it does.

Why don't premiums drop? Because they dont want them to. That's it.

This I believe is more correct. Every PvE encounter no mater what the creature/npc is farmable.

Technically BH missions are farmable, N-K is farmable (lol, I was soloing this guy every 20 mins), and yes even the mighty Krayts are farmable.

The thing is they shove this new combat system out there yet they failed to address how a SINGLE player can solo almost anything. With the removal of the unhealable MIND pool, they've made the problem worse. Now with reguards to our sabers, Devs probably wised up after the Kryat boom (when a lot of Jedi got their sabers) and decided the way to control Jedi is not by limited the numbers, it's by making the majority of them combat handicapped.

As you said, they don't drop premiums because they don't want them to. That's all it boils down to.
