Thread: Jedi as the so-called Alpha Class...
its simple....they need to make jedi harder.. even if its 1.5 times more powerful...but at the same time its hard to balance considering the bounty hunter will have to have some kind of chance against him. im sure they could of worked on it better, who knows what there doing...but time will tell everything i guess :\
It's definately all about the pvp skill of the jedi I've fought a jedi with a 550 max damage saber who knew his template well and was a good pvper and had a lot more trouble with him than a pre CU jedi with a 680 or so max saber who barely pvp's at all.
We don't know the levels of the Jedi they have killed, The main poster first mentioned 421 Kills but then later admited that over 100 were AFK or LD. Of the remaining, how many were full templates? half Templates? etc. Back when you could choose the level of the Jedi you were hunting, I could easily go wipe them out right and left.
Just because I've killed 100,000+ meatlumps in my day doesn't make me a PvE expert.

Remember that room full of little kids that Anakin massacred in Ep 3 - they are Padis - they are the equivelant of anyone with a sabre and an alt now. Were they uber? 1 Knight wiped out hundreds of them on his own so I guess not. Do you think any one of them would have give Boba much trouble, I dont think so.There will not be any Jedi in this game until the FRS comes back. Until then all force users must get over the fact that they are no more than rugrats in the context of the game and canon.
You are a padawan until you become a knight. Padawan does not equal younglings. Was Obi the same strength as a youngling the day before he became a knight, then suddenly he got super strong? I seem to recall Obi smacking down one Darth Maul while he was a padawan.

If we are going to get bogged down in canon etc - You are a padawan until you become an apprentice, then you are an apprentice until you become a knight.
The room full of younglings were.............."drumroll"............. Padawan
When Obi was fighting Darth Maul he was...........you guessed it yet?.............Qui-gin Jinn's Apprentice
Sorry to get all geeky on you but my point stands - there are no Jedi in the game atm and there wont be until FRS. When FRS hits and you are done moaning about the forced PvP that brings (sigh) you will have a point if you are a knight and not 1.5x stronger

I see what you're saying, but there is no apprentice stage in this game, so that point is moot. In this game, you go straight from complete template padawan to knight trials. You might be technically correct canonwise, but within the constructs of this game design, a full template padawan is basically an apprentice with no master (only because the devs never bothred to try to make that happen, which would be cool if they would)

i dont know this personas well you some of you ands/heis easy not to likebut there is no need of personal attacks. they serve only to make both sides look bad. if you have a problem with what this person says, attack that, not the individual.
lastly to the OP, pvp is not rock-paper-scissors. yes i know fighting jedi is not the same as fighting someone who is prepared for you but surely given your ratio, what is it 20 to 1 you say?, youshould handle a few bhs who are ready for you. and since you are the best you should be able to bestthem regularly. but i doubt you could. you take the easy route by just saying pvp is different, admittedly it is. however its not so different you couldnt judge anythingby it. let a jedi say hes the best cause he killed every bh after him. well that doesnt excuse him from proving himselfagainst otherjedi.
actually, yes, pvp is rock-paper-scissors. for instance, in pvp a person wearing composite and a good PSG is paper to a jedi killer wearing jedi-killing energy resist armor who is rock.
i don't care much for PvP so i don't have the equipment to fight in PvP. but i have no doubt in my mind that if i wanted to i would easily pwn in PvP the same way i pwn in jedi hunting if i wanted to. i just can't be bothered to buy a set of PvP armor because PvP is boring and unfulfilling since the people you DB don't lose XP.
Just thoughtI should point this out to people, the underlined statement proves the mentality of this player, one which should not be condoned in SWG, one much like the loot campers that have struck out at the loot on Mustafar already. These types of players need reporting en-masse in the hope of perma bans, HeckI would gladly send them to WoW or EverPoop just not here please.
This BH is a plain and simple griefer and nothing like some of the BH's we have had on Corbantis, I would even go as far as to say that 'Eternal is 10 times greater as a BH than this one. and Hasun is the greatest that Corbantis ever saw, you actually felt honored if he came for you, more so if you bested him (unfortunately he dropped BH before coming for me
)

They used to have apprentice in the game, previous to publish 9. You started off as a initiate jedi --> padawan --> jedi apprentice --> jedi knight --> jedi guardian --> jedi master. I personally thought pre 9 jedi skills trees were the best, but everyone has thier own opinion.
Blackfox
Master Bounty Hunter
Unlocked #32 Merchant
-Black- Wrath
Pre-9 Light Jedi
