Use of force within 32m of a "Character" (NPC, RPC) gives vis. It's been tested and proven. Unless things changed, and I do not think they have, vehicles do not give vis, who knows about corpses. This is a silly rumor thatI will believe iswrong until someone proves it. I have a guilide that insists that Kryats ("Entitties")give vis too, nope, sorry, not any more than a picket. Prove it on TC, then come back with your data. Then we can have an informed discussion about it. BTW, a guy in my group last night got upset with another guy in the group because he left his ride out. That's the result of these silly rumors.I have ground for months next to rides and have yet to be hunted. There's some real data for you (but still not proof). Why not believe all the peeps that say they hunt with rides out and have not been hunted by a BH rather than some knothead who said rides give vis?
lol...I caught my speeder out the other night.
While i was cutting through a bunch of Seething Bols,I saw it trying to move off towards the nearest NPCs. At one point it even tried to disguise itself as a bush, just like you see in the cartoons. I let it go eventually and the microphone i had planted on it confiremd my suspicions - it was narcing on me trying to give me Vis.
Vehicles DO NOT give visability...i have been a jedi for several months now and not one BH has come to see me...my bike has always been there with me.
...and vendors, and pets, and droids....have heard corpses too.

Ok I Did alot of experimenting with vis and here's what I personally found....
if you let your cursor hover over things on radar, they'll list as a character or entity.
Characters give vis... opposite faction, double vis...(checked killing... 20 npc's will land you on the terms, 10 opposite faction is all it takes... so I assume it's double vis or a number like that....) Corpses still show as characters which is why they still give vis....
Entity: no vis.....
Not sure about the bleed off time for vis or what the cap is to earn you a 3 week engagement on the terms...
Almost forgot....there used to be a bug where unequiping or equiping a lightsaber caused instant viz.

You mis-read the post.....
I will hightlight the important thing:
"last I checked people were reporting that corpses were not giving visibility butplayer vehicles will give visibility."
He didn't confirm anything - he just said people were reporting that....
HOWEVER - with that said - after experimenting and doing everything possible - i can state without any tinge of doubt - vehicles DO NOT give visibility.
As I have stated in other posts - and what is stated in a post in this thread - if the radar cursor says "CHARACTER" = visibility if it says "ENTITY" = no visibility.
It takes three full weeks to remove visibility if you earned enough to get on the terminals. (as long as you earn no more).
There is currently no way to check your visibility (other than if your on the bh terminal or a bh visiting you) - however, JustG sort of mentioned there is a value - and he thought players had a view of it.. we do not....

that is not a bug.
JustG stated that doing that very thing will cause visbility. This is one of the few ways to get it without using force... (which is a rule of thumb).
With all due respect to Bac, there is absolutely no proof that vehicles give visibility, and a ton of proof (namely every new Jedi grinding with their bike out next to them for escape - myself included) that they do not give visibility.
For the love of all that is sane on this forum, Bac, please retract your statement until youfind 1 confirmed instance of this happening. I'm tired of getting hate tells from Jedi when I leave my BARC out at a mission.

hum... lets see. most of those grinding Jedi you mention were pre-cu grinders.. So yes they are correct. Post CU however, note that POST CU, anything that is not grouped with you will give you vis. And if you are a grinding paddy why would you want to take the chance that you 'know' so much? Actually I don't care about any of you non-templated Jedi anymore, go get vis please. Say hello to the nice BH'es that show up to perma snare your stupid self.Until the devs give us proof why would you want to take a chance?
But truthfully most Jedi come for those that have a ton of vis, a bike will not give you a ton, but may just boost you to the top of the terminal, with all the pvp'ing Jedi. again take the chance please
