CM Snare is not to long. It is good how it is. Pluse EVERY CM snare, de-buff etc has to be done with in the Jedi threat range, and furthermore, some skills like paralyze, thyroid and snare require the CM to be damn near toe-to-toe with the jedi.
Stop crying nerf to the combat medics just because you can't beat them. It is a balanced profession and is only a hassle to you because it is combined with the profession of BH...and you have not figured out your own template and a way to beat them.
...this is coming from a CM and a Jedi
hmm, the profession is not balanced at all. There is way to beat them. It comes down to skill of the bh, and the jedi. i can beat some, i cant beat others. I run out of mind, or force then HAVE TO RUN, this happens 1/3 mcm bh. I wont even beable to run when the snare nerf comes.
ppl who say they can beath any mcm and its balanced is lying
You can beat any MCM as it stands now, as every templete has a counter. (snare ATM is force run) The dots are easy to get rid of. Foods/water etc, or the appropiate healer lines. Have channel? You have a snare as well then. A lot of options there to deal with them.
If the snare change goes through, things will be different. But MCM's are not overpowered as it stands right now.

soon as a jedi you won't be able to hold normal weapons and use force powers though so you'll still be dead

As a master defender master saber 4040 Healer i can beat some of these mcm bh's but if the bh is good with his template he can fight me off but not kill me but for people withmy template or close to it there is only 2 counters to these guys sap and saber throw and saber throw alone is not good for killing anything

wow... you musta not used it a lot, back before root got an immunity timer we had to get proficient with saber throw.. You can toss it every 3 seconds (I can anyway) just a bit slower than the bugged saber attack timers right now, if I'm lucky enough to get an AB in first it hits for upwards of 600-700 dam each time, killed just using ST..

with the cm combat speed debuff you cant fight that fast

but the point is if you can't get close enough to use your regular attacks just keep saber throwing, will force them to keep healing, debuffed or not. Force speed/mushroom pie completely negates the debuff anyway

it could be because i woke up early this morning or because ive had a really good day but i feel that this type of endless whineing should kind of stop right now.
FIRST i dont see why so many of you expect to be able to run up go Pow WOW!!! and have a BH drop dead infront of you. try useing tactics
SECOND. USE your enviroment that surounds you for example Pre curb when i was a Tk/fencer/brawler/medic/pike stacker and was being really badly kited by 2/3 riflemen/BH's (sorry never had you jedi 85% block of force run) i had to use tactics like RUNNING into a building!!!. if you cant clouse the gap force them to do it for you.!
i dont believe how many people do whine about this type of thing! half of you people's problem is you play RIGHT into our hands. doing exactly what we figure you will!. im only saying in hopes of someone on the servers reading this and actually start thinking so they can put up a decent fight for when i come after them.
have a good night.

yeah but if he's using a rifle he has movement hinderence, (all the following does not include if the snare change goes live) If you keep moving towards him (also granted if you don't have any snares/roots of your own) and you should be able to stay within 32M. Or just chain BR food if you don't have FR. It really is not that hard people..

Yeah but we're talking about CM's being overpowered at the moment, as long as it's in beta it's speculation, once it hits up TC then I'll start to worry about it. There's quite a storm going on about it in the beta forums from all professions as it is, I am seriously doubting it'll hit live.

If they make the change to FR that is being reported, then ALL snares are overpowered. Roots and snares should be put on LONG cooldown timers and have greater chances of not sticking, or have their durations reduced.
It should not be possible to root or snare more than once every 2-3 minutes.
You can't suddenly make something have no counter or defense like this without it becoming incredibly unbalanced and SURE to be made worse because every FOTM'er will pick it up and abuse it.

i have the opposite problem as many folks here, i find snare to be almost completely ineffective versus me, and no i dont have fr. i do however have fr3 but i dont use it while im being attacked nor do i toggle it mid fight.
whenever i fight a ranged person i am almost always kept snared but it doesnt stop me from landing hits. even so there are many tactics one can use if snare is a problem. use line of sight, run into public structures, use snare yourself, and there are other options im sure but havent thought about.
