love the idea...few things bh related are as satisfying as getting that tell from one you just sent to the cloner that says "dude...mah legs"

I challenge anyone to name a Star Wars movie or book where a lightsaber was drawn in anger, and a body part, or a limb, or a droid component did not go flying off onto the floor. And Obi Wan's death does not count
That being said.... I think that since SWG has decided to implament cybernetic body parts into the game, then maybe us Jedi could have a bit of fun with it. I am in no way suggesting that the DEV's try to make the game graphic in nature so that body parts go flying, however I do have a suggestion, let me break it down.
:: Current Gameplay Facts ::
- When a BH kills a Jedi, the Jedi loses massive amounts of xp
- When a BH kills a Jedi, the BH makes tons of money
- When a BHtakes a Jedi mission,the BHcan bring friends to help
- When a Jedi gets attacked, NO ONE can help them at all
- When a Jedi actually kills a BH, they get nothing (except being on the BH-Terms some more)
Seems to me that Jedi lose no matter how you look at it, in a BH encounter. If the BH wins, he gets paid and the Jedi gets the shaft. If the Jedi wins, he gets... well... you guessed it....more BH's coming for him...
Bottom line is this. Jedi stand to lose everything in these encounters, and BH's stand to lose absolutely nothing but a trip to the nearest cloner.
:: My Cybernetic Suggestion ::
- The game already has cybernetics set up, and coded into the game, to pop onto your body randomly at different cloners if you did not clone before you died. You might have seen some of your friends walking about Dathomire with silver legs a few times
- I say this... If a BH is defeated in combat by a Jedi, then to simulate the body parts that would normally most certainly hit the floor, make them clone automatically with a Cybernetic Body part at random. but not just any old generic Cybernetic... one with negative stats too it... ex... -15 terrain neg, or -10 melee def, etc etc
- These cybernetics can still be removed by a Cyber-Doc in the Hospital anytime they wish, BUT... it would cost the BH whatever his Jedi mission was worth that he failed. So if a BH took a 225k mission on a Jedi and dies, then it will cost him 225k to remove his horrible new body part
I just think it's high time that BH's actually had some risk in going up against an opponent such as the Jedi. You have all heard BH's say.... " Oh I only do it for the money".... "Nuthing personal".... ok fine, lets hit them where it counts, in thier pocket book
---May The Force Be With You---
best idea I heard in a long time.
This most assuredly should be stickified.

would just give bh's another excuse for going after low lvl paddies
In the near future you won't be able to see what level Jedi you are pulling a mission for (from my fanfest understanding) so that will be a null issue.

ROFL...damn man the people at work are lookin at me funny now.
As for the original post I think it's brilliant. BH need some risk when hunting Jedi.

If there wasn't XP oss, there'd be nothing to stop a Jedi from having an alt or friend farm them over and over for the money. A true fix would be to remove plaer bounties on Jedi and let NPC bounties take over. No more hate, no more animosity.

Wrong. BH lose a lot of time and hassle that adds up to most of the time you jedi hiding in cantinas, or like I just experience on Kash tonight, you Jedi exploiting line of sight by standing just after where the bridge stops. You run and hide and now cheat. All for what? Because of XP. XP loss is what needs to change.
What needs to be done is remove the xp loss from Jedi deaths. That would promote more pvp and less of your bullcrapcantina hidingand line of sight cheating.
Adding other crap that we BH have to go through will only get less BH after you. Maybe this is what you want, though, less after you - so you can carebear it up in peace. Is it peace you want, or is the fundamental problem the loss of XP?
Regarding the rest of your post - great colors you have, and honestly it's a 'good' idea IF there wasn't another option. XP loss is the real problem.

Good thing your corrosp is wasteing his time with that, instead of trying to get the obvious exploits fixed..you know , the house TEF issue, the /offerride exploit, those things.

i think thats your coro's job... plus that house tef thing has been around for a long time , i think you should probably get used to it , or give up your chosen profession. much like i did when it got to me after a few hundred times ... just be glad you dont have to put up with house tef issues + jedi transfering force to your mark+their friendshealing and removing states fromyour markwhile you try to fight them...... or fight one long enough to have his buffs start dropping infront of your eyes while his friend speed buffs him up again....

IMHO the drawback of placing a possible loss of money/xp/limbs etc for a BH on a mission that failed is that most BH will make CERTAIN they will NOT fail, i e go for even lower level paddies or team up with other BH's to truly gank their targets.
If the devs decide to code in a 1-on-1 rule, as rumoured for some time, for the BH missions and also perhaps a restriction on max. difference in level of a bh and the target this suggestion would be ace.
Very nice idea.

Our corro is doing a great job and seems on top of things. It's not like he's agot a full-time high-paying job being correspondent. If he gather ideas, I'm all for it.
***** for the original poster, I love the idea.
