Thread: I have full faith in the FRS bringing jedi back to what they should be.
You are dealing with human beings. Fat chance of that happening. Maybe on some ABC after school special.

I would rather have them be more open about the whole thing. It would actually engender alot more understanding and have the community giving feedback the whole way.
True. A lot of this could be avoided with more openness.

I had faith in the devs when they were making the cu too... well after I joined tc ep3 I learned my lesson to never trust them again.

Here's my issue with the whole thing. The constant need to balance out everything. Unfortunately things will always be out of balance. There will always be ways for someone of one profession to easily beat another unless everyone has the same skills, at the same levels with the same weapons. This of course would be very boring. Jedi are supposed to be the elites of the elite. We are supposed to be more powerful than the other professions. And shouldnt it make sense that its so? After all, why would someone who has the experience of two elite professions be more powerful than someone who had to do the equivalent of mastering elite professions several times over. The experience required to obtain a box of jedi skills is a more than 1.5 times that of a pistoleer or bh or anything else. Shouldnt the work (read: training) that goes into learning jedi skills give the reward that is definately justified? I really dont understand the complaints about cloaking, you cant attack while cloaked without breaking the cloak. The tactical advantage of cloaking is a strategic tactic that not everyone can take advantage of, and some wouldnt in favor of other strategies. There are some riflemen i have seen who charge in and practically tank, while others stay back, take cover and shoot from the safety of distance. I think that nerfing, snaring, whatever is the method of 'balancing' out what is perceived as overpowered abilities, has to reach a point where we say that someone has to be stronger, better than someone else. In the star wars galaxy, that is Jedi.
I LUB JOO

good pts.
and like i said, i am not here to say what they come up with will be the answer. we all know you cant please everyone. I do feel that we should be an elite proff. and knights should be stronger then padys.. guardians >knights, and masters >guardians.
We all know that..... I feel SOE knows that. I just believe that we should give them more time to get it right. I would much rather wait 6 months for it to be right, then 2 months for it to be wrong
THAT SAID..... I feel that the process to glowy... should be time based. I will say that. It should be a honor to get glowey. For me it was.. .took me nearly 2 years. not 2 weeks......
I have no problem with the village per say...minor changes here and there...
pady trials.. I had fun with those... the grinding sucks... but until knight.. i should be a grind.. .from knight trials on.. that is where it should be high end content... and exciting...
and that is where i think SOE is focusing creatvity too.... just have to be patient,

Before you bash me, let me just say that I think what we are seeing with these nerfs are a prelude to better things. It might not seem that way now. In fact I agree with everyone that the changes hurt us a lot more than help us. I do know for a fact that they are working hard to bring back the FRS, and make it worthwhile.. it is just a matter of fixing other things first. I want my jedi to be powerful, and I think that we should be able to force run and not be snared. I like the ability to cloak... all that. We can sit here and argue to we are blue in the face, and its not gonna make a difference. Lets just bite our tongues, and give them a few months..... and lets see if they can start to reorganize our profession into what it should be. One of honor, stealth, power, and mind.

IMO you are being overly optimistic, the devs wont even give us the dignity of an ETA much less actually implement it, personally if FRS AND Pearls arent fixed by new years there will be 1 less jedi around for people to complain about over populating the world.
How can you give ETA on something is not even figured out and planned out yet ? They haven't found a way to bring FRS back without hurting pvp. You are asking them to do the impossible. Let me ask you, can you give me an ETA on when we will be able to move to moon and start a life there ?
there is FRS in the beta testing right now, i would love to be testing it, but the jedi options were locked out after a certain number of jedi, and i didnt get there in time
