any idea on how much damage is mitigated with Force Aura from Defender xx2x. i am wondering if that is enough to mitigate enough damage for my template. hard numbers would be appreciated too. )

cool...how much damage mitigation does Force Aura (Defender xx2x) have? info i am looking for is something like this...a mob attacks u for 100 damage without Force Aura on. With Force Aura on, a mob attacks for 60 damage. hence, the mitigation is 40% (60/100=60% damage went through so 40% was mitigated) thanks.

The dependency is not linear as before the CU which means there are no hard numbers on this - all depends onyour overall defence and your opponent's accuracy...

I just tell myself it reduces dmg by 2/5. Instead of taking 150 dmg from a level 82 Dewback i take 60-70 dmg.

Its very useful in PvP though. Imo its almost a must. It reducesalmost half the damage takenversus riflemen.

wow...thats more than i expected. i know that its not linear and from what i know from improved force aura with +500 defenses, i was thinking it would be around 20 to 30% mitigation. /shrug
i am asking because i am torn between taking healer 4x4x or healer 3xxx and defender xx2x with my MLS/MP template.
eddytheone, just curious, what is your template?

Raises your defense to 500. Which makes the attacker miss more.

It works very well actually. It counters your opponents accuracy roll causing them to miss more and mitigates their damage towards the lower end of their damage range when they do hit you (depending on their accuracy of course).
