Its damagedealer or nothing. Wielder have no advantage over Lightsaber in terms of states and crowdcontrol. Most of their attacks is strictly about pushing out damage.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

You are an idiot if you actually believe powers is suppose to be a support profession. They already stated that it was a damage dealing profession and could even be an alternative to lightsaber. I just wish all iof you people thought before you made a post like that, especially since there have been many ideas like make your lightsaber stats reflect how much damage your force powers do. Guess i'm just talking to myself, since a defender/saber jedi probably won't ever care, as long as his template is the best?

As for the guy who posted the nerf adk sabers is an idiot, he was too lazy to get pearls himself, and he should keep tuning thousands of goods until he finally has a decent saber.

they stated powers could be an alternative to lightsaber....I'm not trying to be rude,or asmartalec, butit is....just as healer is an alternative to enhancer, which is an alternative to defender etc....

powers is A) ranged and B) crowd control

it IS a support profession....you can't have the style advantage, the range advantage, and the damage advantage all in one package....if you don't want powers, don't take it....but if you do take it, make sure it's not because you think it's gonna change (other than the cloak "adjustment")...it has it's advantages and drawbacks just like any of the other 4 disciplines.....powers in particular shines when you have a full group that knows how keep you alive and doing what you do best, looking pretty, and making opponents miserable....it's not designed for one on one supremacy.

as to your final statement.....100% right, totally agree

I do agree that it should not all be in one package, and I do not have any powers in my template. I just thought I would say that. HoweverI hate it when someone comes on the forums and calls someone a whiner and saying he took powers because he wants a change like this. He is making it look like all powers jedi want something like this nerfed, when all they want is for their profession to be viable.

O.o

It's officially a DAMAGE DEALER profession according to the devs.

There's no such thing as a Jedi support profession, becouse the FRS is based on Jedi defeating eachother for points.

But if you are post-cu who never played with the FRS you might have missed that.

according to the devs a 600 min, 700 max saber with 100 sac and 10 FC is overpowered but my alts 697 - 1324 @ 2.5 82 sac 0 FC bowcaster is not.

actually my main jedi was pre CU, my first jedi was holo grinding, and my third jedi was half village pre CU, half village post CU...and my fourth jedi will be all post CU and shes almost there. so you can just shut up on that topic.

right, combined with sabers and strategy using range it does do quite a bit of damage combining choke with armor break and power attack, not completly on its own as a way to avoid getting pearls. obviously your not gonna sit there with Mpowers, Mdefender (or Menh) 4040 healer and be able to take on a MLS, it requires strategy and yes some saber skills, UNLESS you use it to support your group with the area attacks.

im sorry, i must have missed the dev post that said FRS was all one on one and all templates were made for one on one. i guess all those master enhancers, master healers, and people who have no offensive abilities missed that as well. a group works together, thats how MMORPG PvP works and any other multiplayer game PvP works, if everyone is MLS, Mdef, 3000 heal, 0002 enhancer and the other side has wielders, healers and enhancers, guess whose gonna win. so in short, yes there are support templates because 95% of PvP is group PvP.

So, who are you going to support against your bounty hunter?

And why do I not get any experience for heals?

Do you believe Jedi where changed from pre-cu, that the current skillsets have a pre-planned design over them? That's not true. There's no design for balance. Forget "x1.5", forget "Support profession", forget all that crap. Most of the Jedi skillsets where just tossed around near the end of the CU with no plan behind it. We are currently playing with the pre-cu skillsets and pre-cu Jedi where all about the 1on1 FRS, so yes - the thing we are using now was once designed to defeat Jedi one on one.

The system is broken becouse we where never rewritten to work under the new system. Dont try to justify it in front of thoose who got caught with the shortest stick using wild assumptions.
