Thread: Open letter to the Devs (please read)
I wish you luck in learning how to properly use your Jedi template and weapon, and when you do you'll know what I'm talking about. (And BTW don't ask me about Jedi, I'm not one, I just like to duel them.) My biggest point when responding to your post is that Jedi is designed so you have to pick up certain specializations in order to create your template, the Jedi specializations are not regular professions, they are different branches of the Jedi template. In other words, if you don't have enough defense get some Defender, not enough offense get some Lightsaber, and so on...
Anyway, I understand your frustration, my first mastery was Smuggler...
Flurry is full of exploited powerhammers and other numerous weaopons right now. Exploited due to transfering servers with a powerup on them. I'm not going to name names, but I've seen the screen shots.

Which ones, cause I'm a TKM/Swordsman and retired Pikeman, and none of those hit harder and faster than a Jedi's saber. Sure TKM is faster, but very low damage. Swordsman is higher damage, but low speed, MUCH slower than any saber I've come up a against. (Higher SAC too.) As for pikeman... they definetely don't equate to a decent saber. I will concede that a good melee player can beat and average Jedi in combat, but when two combatants of the same skill battle I'd give it to the Jedi and his lightsaber every time.

You've quite obviously never seen a Capped Powerhammer in the hands of someone who has Gen Melee and Swordsman speed ca's. Nor a Kaminoan Great Staff I think it is for Pikeman.I you want to know about Swordsman, go to the Flurry forums and ask about a guy named Decipheer. Quite possibly the greatest Swordsman pvper SWG has seen.
Well for one thing, I don't doubt that there are plenty of more experience melee players out there, I get beat in duels often enough, but I'd have to say that a Jedi w/ capped speed from CAs and a "capped" lightsaber would beat this mythical swordsman of yours. (Not Decipheer, your hypothetical one, I don't know this Decipheer and don't want to make claims about him.) I must also note that I own a Kaminoan Great Staff, and would still not change my opinion of Pikeman's damage/speed capabilities.
EDIT: grammar mistake

Screenshots aren't worth crap man, no offence.
I mean we ALL saw the screenie where Wahee admitted to exploiting his Lightsaber and PVPing with it. Did he get banned? No he did not. And I am not talking about sploited Hammers, I am talking about regular damage capped Hammers in the hands of a Master Swords who has +25 Gen Melee speed and +25 2 Handed weapon speed. DEADLY COMBO.

Jedi Speed CA's don't work dude, all Jedi attack at base speed no matter how many Lightsaber Speed and Gen Melee speed Ca's they have. Of course certain Jedi temps are built to beat Melee temps. But me personally, when I am PVPing, I'd rather fight another Jedi than a Swordsman/TKM.
Oh well, this is a valid point (I was unaware that Jedi CAs don't work, you should probably inform the Jedi that are buying them for millions on the Trade Forums, lol) and I must say that you are correct, certain templates are better suited for battle against other specific templates. I'm fairly sure there is no changing your mind, so I'll quit after this post. I also don't think you'll be changing my mind, only experience could do that truthfully, and I will continue to believe as I do now that Jedi can outdamage regular melee professions. (A regular Jedi v. a regular melee player or an experienced and well equipped Jedi v. an experienced and well equipped melee player.)
