Thread: Would you have bought or would you still play SWG if there were no jedi? (Updated due to NGE)
I started to play SWG only because its the only online game featuring jedi, Lightsabers and force power.
If they removed or destroyed jedi completely today im not sure what I would have done. I got friends in the game I would prefer not to leave. But at the same time, playing a game I dont like anymore is just wasting money...
I never set out to get Jedi, didn't know you could be at first. I was however disillusioned that guns sucked so bad. I wanted to be a rifleman/ranger, but in the Pre-CU days that wasn't very effective so ended up as Swordsman/Doc. I even held off going Jedi after I unlocked until the CU appeared to nuke the Sword/Doc template (little did I know it would be uber months later), so Jedi seemed like a way to regain what I once had.
Funny, it seems like I'm back to those first days of CU again with a gimped template. Maybe it'll be strong again in time.
I bought SWG .... to experiance the galaxy ... cause I play all the SW games....
I really Love SWG ... there is so much that is different then all other RPG's thats why I stay
and will stay.... no matter who nerfs what and what ever till I see the last DT timer counts to

to become Jedi was always my goal.....
Not to pwnzors or how ever Leet ppl spell it....

and I will till I see the last timer tick away.... no nerf... no anything will change me from this...not even 10 more CU upgrades...
Im not happy with how things are.... but that is what we do indure .....
I will continue to be a comunity leader.... a helper... and a voice on the forums for those that can't wade throu the childish posts that happen here... I don't meen this post either... but you have all read what Im talking about ...all too many times...
Iam a sucker feeding teh Sony beast.... yes... do I willingly accept it as such... as long as there is people that need my help ... Ill feed the monster that hosts this game.
Hate me if you want.... but if your reading this now... you have a active account..so your feeding the beast as well..... look to your own reasons for playing...these are mine

I was under the impression, when I bought the game, that to obtain a Jedi it would be very hard and mysterious path (not just a simple time sink). And when one finally became a Jedi you would constantly be hunted by Vader and his death squads.
So yes I would have still bought this game because I didn't think many jedi would exsist or be out in the open.
