Um I am a jedi - it is my only combat profession. All of my other toons are crafters or entertainers. This publishhas actually kept me from going on an SWG break.
I thought that I would post something positive for a change. Like any of these stupid threads about how people are leaving the game, blah blah blah are about jedi specifically ... just a bunch ofpeople whining in my opinion. I am glad they put through the changes they have. Makes being a jedi all the more challenging.
How would that help?

Yes, BHers are getting a dozen kills without any losses against Jedi now, 8k single shot kills, grinding is almost non-existant.
They made the game harder.
They kept the rewards the same.
The rewards already sucked for most high-end PVE.
So what's the point anymore? Just another ultimate game balance issue. Don't even have to mention the imbalance between anyone with snare and anyone without it.

I think there will be some nice drops in the new expansion.

It really doesn't matter what his saber stats are, a really good BH or non-jedi will always take out a really good jedi 1 vs. 1. Especially w/ the new snare changes.
This publish is going to get changed......

So basically anyone who doesn't buy the expansion is SOL? Publish 24 ought to be entirely seperate from any discussion with the expansion. The thing that would really just make me furious is to find out the game's core was changed for a $30 optional expansion. They're treating the expansion as if it is required when the truth is, many crafters and entertainers are totally left out and the planet itself is going to be turmoil for the two most popular professions (Jedi and BH).

why should i have to buy the expansion to get some decent loot drops? hunting krayts with some friends tonight - a bit harder, but doable, whatever - and in 20 kills we looted 1 good pearl (tuned to 41 dmg, -4 fc), 2 smuggler slicing components and 1 set of 60 dmg, -.47 speed tissues. great, increase ai, sure, whatever...but if you are going to make it hard to kill things, at least make it worth my time to do so.
if the only place to get good loot is the expansion, thats just bull**edit**.
