I disagree. How was my BE holo, something that involves more crafting than I ever wanted to do, better for my game experience? Master Dancer? Ah, yes, 24/7 AFK in a cantina while I was at work, using my alt to harvest rescources for my next profession, or sound asleep. Now there is positive game experience for you.

The holo craze absolutely changed the dynamic of this game when it hit, and in my mind it wasn't a positive change. Where we used to have huge PVP bestine vs AH battles after the holo craze hit we had two empty cities and an MO that was crowded with holo grinders. Where we used to have vendors that were stocked by people that took thier crafting profession because they wanted to we ended up with tons of empty "please click me so I can master merchant for my holo" vendors.

I was glad when the villiage hit. I was able to go back to the professions I originally had and truly enjoyed, then stick with them. That was a much more positive experience to me. Yes the trips to the villiage were a pain. Sure they were. But grinding BE when i didn't really want to was worse in my mind. The quests at the villiage were a welcome change. Some were challenging enough to be fun. I met some good people doing these quests, one of whom became my best in game friend and wife. Being AFK in a cantina, I met nobody. I had a far more satisfying climb to jedi using my true professions and interacting with people. Hustling rescources to sit in my house and craft gave me nothing except a sore wrist.

edit - bah, typos

Grinded (or is it ground? ) a tree PER DAY. CauseI wasgetting the 4 times exp due to double amount of exp received and then double again when you exchanged, along with nade grinding, which was5 times faster (at the time) than regularweapon specific combat expgrinding. So technically my grind was 20 times quicker than most other people.

Even with x4 xp, capping weapon xp 10 times in one day... That's like 7 hours straight grinding. 8(

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

I totally agree with the guys saying holo grinding gave a much better experience for the game. The new system is too dull and boring, also when and if you stick it through you get killed by BH's in fact jedi are not any stronger then the BH's now. I remember when jedi could take on several guys at one time. When in a star wars movie has a BH killed a jedi? I dont remember any...but again it would be ridiculus to have BH's in the game if they couldnt kill jedi so I guess it all works out. Its getting late and I am tired so I am probably just rambling on so if anything doesnt make since just disregard it lol

Yes and they said the Village was suppose to reduce the amount of grind and make it a more Star Warsy experience! If you ask me its even more mundane and boring now, as said before its just a case of going to MO and grinding constantly till you cap! Even worse when you unlock and have BHers thrown into the pot! . Seriously, it should be more quest based. Just remove the grind and give us hundreds of quests instead, at least they can be different and break up the boredom.

My idea would be base it in a badge/quest system. Call me selfish but I dont like when I see Jedi with less than 20 badges, even some with the minium number requested for the Force Sensitive system. The point of Jedi (to me) is those players who seek something else, and they do so by trying different professions and exploring places, plus doing certain tasks around the galaxy.

I may becrazy, but I think they need to raise the badge requeriments so players get a chance to actually play the game. Dont make it random like hologrind, let the players make a personal choice, you would need minium 50 badges, wich ones are up to you (of course with certain restrictions, like some professions, some POIs, some quests, etc), but "force" them to actually play the game for a while, instead of creating a toon and their first words in spatial are "How can I become Jedi?".

After getting the badges, they become Force Sensitive, and then the village. And no, this is not I alredy got Jedi, you dont deserve it post. I dont care if everyone is a Jedi, what I do care is when some people forget there is actual stuff to do in this game, rather than grinding or PvPing 24/7.

as do i, i mastered 5 profs and collected 50 badges before jedi. I just didnt think anyone should be jedi with under like 30 (50 would be good, but maybe a little harsh) and i didnt want to be a hypocrit so i mastered some stuff and got badges hehe

and for glowy, yes it should be harder, they actually made it EASIER i hear, u only need ike 2 content and a master or soemthin now its gay
