Very nice tactic. I have the same temp as you and have pvp experience as well, but I like to spice it up a little bit more. with aura and force armor a good fight can last as long as 30 minutes and this is where I have my fun. I fight with them til I'm at about half force then feign a low force bar and use FR2 to start "running" away. they get their bike out and chase me, I turn around, hit the FR2 button again to turn it off, saberthrow their bike, and hit FR2 again. They never seem to understand that I'm playing with them and just wasting their time. One guy seriously went through 2 crates of swoops before he figured it out. He said "I'm not gonna chase you anymore coward" So I turned around and started chasing him. I forced him to fight me after he didn't want to anymore, his buffs were gone and finally I killed him. Makes me feel good to not only kill a BH, but to also wound the crap out of them, waste as much of their time as I possibly can, and sometimes triple incap just for fun. And my saber isn't all that uber either, only 580 mod DPS. I've noticed that doing this has netted me a lot less BH visits, which kind of makes me mad as I like fighting them. Well that's my method anyways. Enjoy

This is good advice. Some of my greatest fights against the BH have been in NPC cities where breaking line of sight is a lot easier. You can also try to keep the BH in the little room in a starport between the chassis guy and the main entrance. It's over by where the extra set of six star ship terminals are arranged in a semi circle. I kept drawing a BH there once and when he would run out the room and break contact, I would rest a bit, heal, figure out how I was gonna attack him next when he came back.

He finally dropped the mission, flamed me and went on his way.

Be careful with this tactic when fighting the more experianced Bh's. some of us will either not kite at all or will kite you away from where your trying to lead us. and the worst BH's youll ever find are those with nothing to prove. this type of BH will just leave for an hour and strike you when it suits them not you. but still good advice im glad that some jedi are finally useing tactics against us.

the thing is the less experienced ones are gonna think when you runits an escape tactic, and the times ive done it before the BH did try to kite me out more than once when they realised they were getting chewed up for getting too close to me,like i said before though, once im in that spot, nothing is gonna move me,i can wait just as long as a BH can, when i was a padawan i feigned death for 6 hours till the BH finally gave up and left

I had a CM/MBH and his BH/rifleman buddy roll up on me one day. they knew their business and kept me bouncing back and forth between them in the open field like a doomed krayt. I hit FR2 to escape and took the fight to the force crystals caves on dant. terrain nagotiation doesn't matter in closed doors and that enclosed space kept them both in melee range with a bit of help with some snares. fights with the BH/MCM is a must in close quarters.

its amazing how different it is and how much easier it isfighting this kind of template in a square room than it is when you're trying to chase them down and use snare and root all the time,i was gonna keep this to myself but to be honest i feel bad for all the other people like me who struggled with these guys, hope this helps

Right on brotha. This has worked for me on nearly every mcm/mbh ive killed, for the 2 i have got killed by I played it their way and soon was shown by one of the best former bh in the game how to exactly win over these bh temps and others as well. This is where alot of jedi go wrong and why they lose, if you play their game, do the kiting and running after them, then you are as good as dead. For instance when i first fought one of these temps. i wasnt thinking in the moment of all the adrenaline rushing to my brain and kept turning force run 3 on and off-BIG MISTAKE- used up 200 force EACH time i did it, and was wondering why i ran out of force so fast, DUH, lol. Needless to say i lost to this fight. The next time i almost made the same mistake but i learned from it, I dumped it and used burst run WHEN NEEDED after a KD or rooted the bh or snared him. My temp used to mls, mas enhancer, hlr 4040 with no defender. Also another force cost issue as no defence but force armor 2 and your force is gone in no time. So the 2nd fight i had with this temp as i was saying, went better but i still lost. I made the terrible mistake of "flurrying" attackes constantly and used up mind and boom was down for the count. Learned from that one and its not happend again.

If you allow them to get the upper hand by making you chase them, you might as well just die or run off one of the two. Make these bh and any bh come to you, pick you a good spot with trees, rocks, hills, houses, etc. anything to mess up LOS, although i have noticed lately they have been SHOOTING thru buildings, which the devs need to fix this,i guess some poor family just loves sitting there and zip, there goes a blaster shot right thru the wall into the salad bowl and all over the floor!! Anyways, these bh are also very succeptable to Imp. Force Sap, hit them with it right off the bat, or you can wait until they throw all their little tricks on ya then they have maybe half mind or less and same with action, then hit em with it and its all they can do to stay alive is heal, once they've healed so many times due to damage you put on them, they have no mind or action left and its curtains for them.

Some know this and have learned to play around it, that is why you have to keep good watch on their stats along with yours too and hit em when they arent expecting it or when they are thinking they got you beat. It makes for a nice turn of events in middle of fight alot of times. Always keep an extra holo on ya just in case they sit and tank you out of force, which is crazy that they can do this but it happens, thanks SOE. Anyway, I was glad to see this post and that others are seeing the light on these temps and how to destroy them and force all bh to discard this temp and eventually it wil lbe obsolete sooner or later as too many will die with it. Keep up the good work fellow jedi, and for the bh who win their fights fairly, and are honorable opponents, i salute you for your valiant efforts, even the ones who win too.

wanna know what else is amazing?..seeing so many positive posts all on one thread on the jedi forums

/faints

lol..seriously though, its great that theres actually people posting positive tips here besides my own,too many people just say "learn your temp noob" or "i dont struggle with them, you must be doing something wrong" and thats about all they seem willing to add to any thread where someone asks for help with these guys, some people just dont seem to understand that if you dont have the right temp, these kinds of BH are a huge problem, not anymore though,we got em figured out

the easy'ness of the BH/CM will vary with play style and Clouse is not ALWAYS better. ill give you an example. if me and a Mbh/Mrifles pulled up against you. id still debuff you but i dont aply dot's. not till your V.low on Mind and will need to try and outheal my damage output. the point is. NOT all BH.CM's use their templates the same. by not applying dots everytime your with in 9m of me i can apply a Paralyze and run away. by co-ordinating this tactic with others a Combo can be V. hard to beat.

so to summorize. close not always best.

Yeah close quarters isn't always best. its all determined by what messes up the opponents rotation. close quarters combat did for these guys cause the rifleman couldn't get the distance to use his most powerful shots. if you proved otherwise and parylize was causing me to much trouble, I'd step back, hit force speed, yank my rifle, and go to town. force aura stacked with master defender pretty much nerfs all ranged weapon damage to minimum per strike so we'd be on about even terms in ranged combat. and that gun don't use force and next to no action so I'd be rechargin while you were beating on me. if that doesn't work I'm SOL if I can't think of something better.

All depends on the circumstance, which most of my BH/CM encounters have proven that close quarters is better then out in the open.

That's an awesome tip, thanks for posting it, and thanks to all those who added useful tips that jedi can use to keep the pesky BH's off your backs, I'm very close to unlocking and any little but helps. Also nice to see a useful post among all the complaints and whatnot.

Question: I have heard about jedi dropping houses in the middle of nowhere to escape BH's with the privacy. Is it possible to set the entrance to public and do the same thing in a player-house?

the way i see it closest is always best, the only reason why these guys are so effective is because 85% of the fight is spent chasing them so you aint hitting them much, when they actually have to stand toe to toe with you it doesnt take long to wear them out, lets try not to confuse the issue here,in any fight with a ranged player closer is always better,no matter what their template is
