A good crafting tool and station helps. Also it is a + if the city youre crafting in is a reseach center. Bespin port (experimentation food) and some assembly food, dont remember the name of this one, helps

Force sensitive experimentation and assembly helps a lot as well. I'm xxx4 LS and I get the same quality assemblies as an MLS with my assembly branch.

It helps some. Read the Force Sensitive forums about the village quest. It details what the crafting lines will do for you. It is stickied.
