As a MLS what is the best use of your 10 experimentation points.

After numerous attempts, it seemed the most efficient was putting 3 into damage and 7 into efficiency. All were done with a 15.00 LS tool.

I would put 4 into efficiency --> run experiment
Put 3 into damge & efficiency --> run experiment.

Doing this I was 40-ish% in damage & 75-ish% in efficiency.

For 2-h saber the most I could lower my FC was 4 points whether I was using 7 or 10 points in efficiency. If I went lower than 7 points, I would only lower my FC by 3 points.

Also, I was used Port Wine for the experiments, but I didn't notice any difference. I also notice no difference between using "great" refined crystals and "amazing" refined crystals.

Are these results similar to what others experience?

Since I'm pretty low, I noticed more often than not, that efficiency brought up more damage, than damage itself. Dunno if it's just me though.

Do a search on "saber crafting" there is some answers to your questions in some of my posts. Just takes to long to type them out:-)

This is sort of side bar But I didn't want to start nother thread:

When I hit padawan in a few short weeks, will I be able to experiment on my CDEF lightsaber? Or is it basically just the way it is? Also will material quality make a difference in the constuction of it?

Thanks kindly!

CDEF Lightsaber

It's called "Training Lightsaber" in the crafting menu. And yes you'll have to craft it. Until you get the xxx|4|th tree in Lightsaber spec you cannot experiment that i'm aware of, pretty much the way it is. Also with the metals, yes some make quite a difference in the quality of your saber.. in general i've found that high conductivity seems to be a good trait in most of the metals for the sabers i've built.

Hope that helps.

There's a certain percentage you can get it on a 4th gen (and any other generation) where you'll get the possible maximum lowest force cost on a lightsaber it seems. I can't recall firsthand what that percentage is, but it usually takes me seven experimentation points to reach it. That lowers my saber's force cost from 53 to 48. I put the rest in damage and hope for an amazing success. I've attempted to experiment completely on force cost and it won't go lower than 48. And I'm experimenting 97% on the force cost line at that. I would assume that experimenting 100%, which is virtually impossible, would lower it another point.

Based on this, at sabers xxx4, you get 7 experiment points, and should put them all into efficiency if minimum force cost is your goal, yes?

With novice sabers I'm granted +10 LS experimentation (1 exp point). Thats great! I pull out the 14.xx tool i have, grab my resources and make a saber.

Now to experiment... uhmm, I'd like to experiment please.... why is there no option to experiment?

Hmmm, am I missing something???

LS Crafting Tool - check

LS Crafting Resources - check

41+ Weapon, Droid, General Crafting Station - check

Is there something I missed?

Any help is appreciated.

Store the droid and stand in the crafting station usually fixes any problems..

Edit: er..you don't have a droid out it seems but just making sure.
