Thread: FROM BETA: Changes to the Jedi prof and other impacting changes
While I dont like what they did to AI, at least dominate mind will allow you to reaquire agro.
Can you confirm that it is possible to reaquire agro while AI is running?

Trying to make a thread to post the impacting changes that effect our profession:
Jedi Specific
Avoid Incap - when using avoid incap, aggroing mob will move to "next best" in group. Only relevant in PvE. For example, pikets in a spin group will no longer aggo the AI-enable tank and will move to the "next best" member in group. For single-mob high-level NPCs / creatures the defender can stil luse /DominateMind to reacquire aggro.
Force costs - reported higher Force costs. These always seem to be tweaked before live.
Cooldown Timer Bypass Fixed - No more saber throw, head hit, etc every second. Also no healing timer bypass
Droppign Robes and LS in private structures - you should not be able to drop your LS and robes in your private structure. I would assume these will be similar to the Hero Quest reward which can be dropped but only accessible to you.
All professions
Higher action costs on heals- This effects the CMs, Medics, Docs more than anyone. This could be a godsend to jedi as CM/BH biggest asset is their healing abilities. For the most part, CMs heal more often than jedi so if they are using their action on heals, they wont have enough for DoTs, debuffs, attacks... we shall see
Squad Leader Changes - Better to read what these are from the Squad Leader forums. I foresee MANY SLs and i'll be a million credits that each BH you encounter will be at least grouped with a SL in order to receive some of the SL group buffs. One of the 'scariest' SL buffs is volley fire which gives a chance to bypass armor. Reports on Beta have a successful bypass armor shot insta-incapping. All jedi shold study these changes and realize the beneift of getting to know a SL soon
New debuff system- I'm sure you have already read about this one. The new system is part of the SL changes which allowdebuffs to override buffs. For example: Snare is a a movement speed debuff. This will REMOVE any movement speed buff (force run, burst run, parawan) and reduce your movement speedin additon toremoving the buff. Another example is the CM combat speed debuff. It will REMOVE forcespeed or the doc speed buff AND reduce your combat speed by -40.
Both of these attacks can be reapplied at will and have no rage timers involved. *** There is currently a STRONG movement against this in the Beta forums.
I'm sure there are more and I will try to update thius post as necessary
Thanks!

some of us have more time than others. . . i'm sure Biacca will post when he has the opportunity. Whereas i am stuck at work and have time for forums, he's probably playing Beta getting more useful data

Just FYI, dominate mind has always been broken and I can tell you 100% it will not help with aquiring agro again as long as you are under Avoid Incap.
it worked when i was a MD

It works about as good as hitting them with saberhit. What it will not do is keep them aggroed. Again, the way the nerf works is you get Avoid Incap, the mob will hit you once and then stop. Hitting them with dominate will make them hit you once and then stop again because they'll realize you are on Avoid Incap.
