No, I'm not considering the idea. It's a question at tiggs based on the multiple rumor threads going around that ARE suggesting it. There's some strong evidence that this is being considered or a possibility. I would quit the game instantly if this was the case, but I still want to know.

No. If Jedi are an instantly attainable class it's game over. The ONLY and I do mean ONLY way that SOE could possibly pull it off is keep EVERYTHING with Jedi that way it is now as far as XP required/BH etc... Reinstitute the FRS upon making the change. With the FRS showing marked improvements in a Jedi's power/skill. To those that grinded through Pre-CU and even pre pub 9, to compensate those folks a guaranteed position in the FRS say insta-knight or similar w/ all the appropriate trimmings. Granted it would still be a major clusterfsck.

if they do this.....i highly doubt that they will ever sell an account.
Sounds like a WoW subscription gives you a full *Purple* armor and weapon.
Who would even play a game where you start and all of a sudden can click the "I win" button?

Well it wouldn't be the "I win" button any more than the MBH/SL FoTM's are now. The thing is it would still require them to grind through all the Jedi XP but they would have to reinstitute the FRS, a working one at that, and offer those that are already Jedi an instant standing as Knight or higher depending on length of time as Jedi, etc... This would be the only possible way to save any face if a screw up this large were made.

As much as nobody here wants to see it lets face it SOE have been dumbing this game down as much as possible to appeal to the 7 to12 year old market. If there marketing people say they will lose 30,000 dollars in cancelled jedi accounts but make 50,000 dollars in new accounts of people that will purchase the game to play jedi that didnt want to grind it then they will do it.

Bingo, exactly what I was thinking. Here's something to consider though, if the past is any indication they'll nerf everyone else to make these starter jedi stronger and would probably result in our power going up as a result. So the noobs would quit anyway and we'd get more powerful... /ponder

hmmm good point..... noobs cry for more power.... more power granted.... noobs still cant play for beans.... noobs quit jedi.... current jedi keep power till bh cry again..... might be a way to get some power back for another breif period of time
