The bottom line is that as this is a "Star Wars" game Lucasarts would never allow it.

be afraid of the lucas arts lawyers be very afraid
it is a well know fact that all star wars exists at the whim of george, in his own words star wars is my thing, he can pull the plug on any stars wars project at anytime. if a free server ever popped up it would be down faster than you could blink an eye.
