So I have to ask at this point, what problem your solution is meant to address?

Read the "I dont like PVP" thread, and anything by MsNil over the past...uh...since she was a full template. This is an anti-nerf solution.

the only way I see jedi gaining more power for PVP is if they make a 4th tier for the GCW, where jedi can't attack non jedi unless they consent to joining the fourth tier.

Which it does not do. So now what?

...Posting rants on these forums is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get ya anywhere... write that down.

LOL...yeah. I am against the idea of PVE only, but figured that I would come up with a viable solution.

What would be cool with this idea is that the force shrines could be used for something other than just replacement robes. You could go to a force shrine to declair you status. This would especially be usefull for neutral jedi.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Novaman,

Sorry man Visibilty should be up becuase the jedi population is supposed to be kept down.

Visibility doesn't keep the Jedi population down, it keeps them on the BH terminals.

Stay on topic, this isn't about just vis, it's about a whole system.

I just came up with this, let me know what you think:

This is for Jedi only (for now)

On-leave: Same as we are now. No visibility Gained.

Combattant: Decreased Timers, +5% force regen, Visibility Gained at normal rate.

Special Forces: Decreased Timers, +10% Force Regen, 5% damage increase, No decay of items on death, Visibility Gained at 50% increase. 5% decrease in SAC/Mind costs.

This reward you for increase risk, yet allows the PVE jedi to play unharrassed. The only drawback is that GCW would generate vis. That is the price for playing though.
