Sorry, Darling, but when all I read is how we suck, it paints a skewed picture. The fact is that some people have little or no trouble with BH's.

It's all based on what discipline you have, where some specific skillines makes you god, especially in combination.

LMAO!! Maybe something worse like those Lowca FEDS guys talking so highly about the oh so great Wu Sanchez and how he can own anything in his path would make you stab yourself repeatively more than this?

Why is this stressing you out MisNil? The fact of the matter is that alot of Jedi that aren't pre-CU or doesn't have a LS with several +100 damage in it aren't going to live to tell about the last MCM that paid them a visit.

if all else fails, you can run. A bh can never make a jedi fight. Unless your template is made with no potential escapes, a simple root/snare forcerun away. I've never been in a fight where i didn't have a chance to run away from. I just have a habit of having fun.

All right, but apart from the sanitation droids, bionic limbs, hyper-drive, moisture vaporators, galactic order, abolisment of slavery, star charts, the compact and efficient central government and interplanetary free trade, what has the Empire ever done?"

Jedi are strong...as long as your saber is decent. What I mean by decent is anything about 500 max damage. I fought a MLS/MDEF the other night and the fight lasted 40 mins...and I lost! I was amazed because I watched the damage that he was doing and his saber wasn't much better than 480ish. He did a fantastic job of managing his mind and force and just plain outlasted me. My BH couldn't keep up with the heals and my mind went away. NEVER during the fight did he activate AI, but Valor and Aura were doing their job. The interesting thing is that a MCM/MBH joined in right before I died, and that also got killed. This was one of the few losses I had...I was 8 and 3 this weekend. I have 75% ab resist armour, one of the lowest sac and highest damage pistols on the server (kinetic) and have 4000 CM. I did everything right, more or less.

I say it again, it's not your saber, it's your knowledge of your own template.

I think most people expect a saber to kill anything in 2-3 hits. I do agree that saber damage is low. We need to spend a lot of hours hunting dragons to loot pearls, kill nightsisters to get crystals only to get tunes like 22/22 -6 or an uber 55/55 -3. It's very difficult and lengty to do that, as compared to grinding MBH/MCM, spend a million on a high end pistol (at least you know what you're buying) and do an ok job.

I can only compare to swordsman, but it's a lot easier to get M.Swords, buy a nice NK Executor, have that sliced and keep pups on it and fight a jedi going Armorbreak, head hit, head hit, head hit, head hit, head hit and do great.

To do great with a Jedi takes a *lot* more time.

Agreed... and it is an advanced profession so it should take more time. I have never been a fan of looting for saber parts, but we have what we have and need to learn to use it to the best of our ability. The devs will fix it before long, guaranteed.

I would like to see the saber's damage a lot more dependant on how you craft it and the ressources you use, instead of dependind a lot of the crystals. I mean, experiment on damage, you'll get very little gain on damage. Experiment on speed, you get a very small speed reduction so the only option is efficiency. Get that FC down by 4 and sac close to 100 and that's it.

I forget how much damage a dry gen-4 has with no power crystals but instead of bringing it to 150ish with nothing else, and loot 300 crystals untill you can bring it close to 500, why not male the gen-4 with nice ressources reach 400ish on it's own, and make crytals act more like a powerup.

A regular weapon can be very good, put a pup on it and it'll make it great.

Build a saber to be very good, use crystals to make it great.

An idea just popped into my head.... You build a saber, with the very best ressources and it would become something like, 400-500 damage, 20FC, 110Sac. When you open the saber, you have 4 slots for crystals. 2 for power, one for speed, one for efficiency. The two crystals you add to the power slots will have their damage value added to the saber and other stats won't take effect. The crystal you chose for efficiency will have it's force cost deducted from the total, and the speed crystal you chose will have it's speed modifier applied to saber speed.

That way, a 25/25 -9 tune could still be used as your efficiency crystal and wouldn't be a worthless tune. Your 15/15 -2 -0.25 tune would be great as well as your speed crystal and then you'd use your 105/105 -0.02 -2 as one of your power crystal.

That would greatly reduce the need to tune hundreds of tunes and get rid of situations like I have, which is 2 bags full of crap tunes because I can't use them since they are either high power OR low force cost, but rarely both.

MCM/MBH'er especially do well against all those MDef/MLS templates.

Now about pearls, yes I do get mad that sometimes my pearls tune like crud. But that doesnt stop me from going out n getting more pearls. Got a good tuning streak after a krayt hunt a few days ago. 3 out of the 4 pearls tuned very nicely. N my saber is 600+ dam, 104 SAC, n-29 FC.

N the FC n SAC will b lowered once I get MLS.

The issue is that a good, experienced jedi pvper can handle these templates.
