Poster isn't saying that - the message is that u can't use force when equipping a non jedi weapon.
I don't see the problem - I can still use a gun, just not use force powers while its equipped. If your grinding you will be using your LS won't you? If you switch to a gun/melee wpn you will have your non jedi skills to rely on.
Bottom line is that grinding jedi is totally so much easier that it used to be; this change if implemented will only help to discourage the "unjedi like" practice of jedi using weapons other than a LS. No big deal.
I PERSONAL had a look in the .tre files and found nothing near what this guy was talking about. But I have found other things non-Jedi related...
Blixtev's post should be taken just the way its read, calling this guy on his BS. If the posted explains where he got his info, it might be a different story. As of now, hes just a liar.

and what happens when the lambda shuttle drops 2 dozen stormtroopers right on top of you?
how about when another group is grinding in the same area, and is inconciderate and drives DIRECTLY through your group while on a lair?
How about those people who DELIBERATELY do the above, and hang around a while to be sure that plenty of vis is awarded?
Do NPC trainers really add vis? Does my faction pet? Can i wear my jedi padawan title, or will that add vis? if i leave force run on, will that give me vis? If i forget to unequip my saber while going into mining outpost, will that give me vis? Lets say i have some vis and BH does pull my mission, if he attacks me in MO, say while im loading, and my saber pops, do all those people in the MO add to my vis? does the BH himself add to the vis? How do i get rid of vis? How do i get off the terms? Does it clear when i die? Does it clear when i kill the BH? Why do i lose xp when the BH doesnt lose any investigation XP (which wouldnt matter since hes master BH) or credits for losing to me? If the jedi profession is supposed to by hard, shouldnt the profession made to kill the Jedi be hard too?
There are all sorts of things troubling the growing jedi that full template jedi (and certain 'elitist' jedi) brush off as being 'part of the game'. indeed it is, however it is a part of the game you were never confronted with. I see plenty of posts by older jedi (pre cu) saying the grinded thier entire template without vis. That is simply not possible in todays world of energy damage sabers and forced group participation. Jedi was intended to be a solitary lifestyle, but it has been forced into the open by both large numbers, and the dev's push towards grouping.

Explain to me how anyone makes the choice for stormtroopers to spawn on top of them, or makes a choice to have somone grief them, or any number of scenarios that are played out each day on the servers.

The points he made that are valid and true.
The only people who need crystals and perls are jedi , so why is it for the most part we are the only people who cant seem to loot them.
Jedi is the next fiew patches will lose the ability to use the force when holding a normal weopen.
(grinding an alt is not the answer by the way)
well, for all you guys that think i am making this up you will see with in the next few patches. I hope i am wrong but i know i read it just a week ago. When this comes into effect, just click this thread and apologize. This change will most effect every padawan thats not at least 3/4 way through their template. With no decent pearls comming back, nerfs and bugs on force and ham usage, and the expasion dangling a new carrot in front of you, would you expect less from soe? The Trials of Obi Wan is not an exclusivly Jedi game but it is geared to attract Jedi and the best way to sell the expansion is to gimp every thing a Jedi can do in the base game and do everything short of saying if you want to survive this game you need the expansion. Its sad that soe just cant entice us with an actual game with content and decent solid rewards but to pretty much black mail us into buying it. TBH, unless I know that the lava saber is a guaranteed loot and not a one in 40 shot like the banes heart, I dont think i will get the expansion.
