I cant be happy with the NGE because I havnt played it yet, but I am looking forward to playing it. I'll make up my mind after it goes live.

Im just conserned kiting will be easy in the new system making jedi the worst profession, jedi better have a higher movement speed than other profs as the rest are ranged...
other than that I can't really comment on the new system until I've tried it, hopefully tomorrow...
But this whole thing came as a shock to me, if they have been working on this update for 1 year, why the hell was the CU done then, they spent 9 months on the CU so the 2 projects must have started about the same time.

only thing that has me worried is... when new ppl flood to the game... their choice of 1 character for the rest of their playing time.... i wonder what they will choose...
so its just gonna turn into jedi wars and the only non jedi will be current jedi alts

After the CU, I honestly can say that I don't care anymore. Whatever we, as a community, try to communicate to the devs is utterly ignored. The most blatant proof of this is how all the correspondents were in the dark with these secretive upcoming drastic changes to gameplay. Also, the condensing of 32 professions down to 9 has a potential to be a devastating move; although most of the playerbase fell into one form of a FOTM or another, there always were the select few who upheld the professional diversity in this game...for those that spent so much time and effort into your most beloved professions only for them to be removed in the grand scheme of things, is appalling.
However, I still am keeping an open mind for what's to come. I'm withholding my judgment and I still think I'll continue playing my jedi character. If these upcoming changes drive my beloved guildmembers away, then I will most definitely leave, as they are the only reason as to why I continue to play. It was disheartening to learn from ingame friends that their friends have already cancelled and moved on. Unlike them, I'm willing to give thisa shot. Maybe, just maybe, I will be able to contribute to ideas and mechanics that will make this game more enjoyable.

I dont mind alot of the changes, its the betrayal of all my hard work over the last 18 months that is the kick in the teath. the idea that now anyone can get in the first few minutes of the game that took me3 months just to get glowy and through the village. And the fact that I am no better than some 10 year old that can buy my hard work off a shelf.

I am happy with the new changes. As far as I am concern, it cannot be any worse than what we already have.

i can say im happy for over a great many things.
i simply dont like the idea of jedi being totally lowered to starter profession..its like 2 years ago when i bought this game, i would've the choices brawler, artisan . marksman, medic , scout or jedi
that idea was ridiculous at the time, and imo it still is.
but meh, let the changes come, jedi will b as normal as a carbineer now..at least BHs dont hunt us anymore..and we get to wear different robes..after all, those paddy peejays were geting on my nerves alredy...
