i will try changing into enh 3004 to use always FR and switch to saber attack as default attack.
if this will not works properly , i will go MSL, def 4440 , heal 4000 enh 3xx4
thanks for your feedback guys!
I can understand a few minor changes to your template like dropping down to 3xx4 enh but why would you make such drastic changes as going MLS. Do you really want your Jedi be built just around def a BH/CM?
I suggest you look at all the things you do in a given game play and see how often you really get attacked by a BH/CM vs all the other things you get attacked by or wish to do. Then make up your mind on how you want your template to play out.
Your template as it stands right now should result in only two outcomes with a BH of any kind. 1. you kill them. 2. you root/run until the tef wears off then hop a shuttle to let your force regen. Only the very unluckiest of BH encounters will result in your getting killed.
With the damage on your LS, FS, roots, snares, etc you should be able to kill 70+% of the BH/CM you encounter with ease. So that leaves only a few rare cases that you must run or die.
So with that said I would not make a great many changes to your build unless your really want the change for other reasons besides the BH/CM encounter.
If you do drop down to 3xx4 enh then I would pick up 4020 healer (if the skill points allow). As a defender you can be assured of a long fight with a BH. So Sap has a long time to work on a BH's mind/action.
With your template u hardly need to heal more than once every 30sec or so. Improved Infusion alone should do the trick -have stims around and drink a ruby. Also, equip a PSG.
With Force Run1 its so easy, but u have Force Run2 so u need to turn it on and off with care. Also, have Parawan handy to burst run with back to back. Take your Booster Blue, kiwik food and your good to go.
Stay within 5m of the bounty hunter for about 2 -3 minutes. Use your specials -I would spam head or body or leg. Don't give it all for a few minutes. Most will not heal until 3/4 left -use that to your advantage. When ever your ready to do the following sequence:
Armor Break / Root / use all 3 specials - but your not mls so spam special and press strike between specials.
At this point the bh HAM should be below 50% or lower. KD and power attack. This sequence might need to be repeated a few times before you win.
Its all about timing and when to use what. Also, KD when action and/or mind low.
Practice, practice, practice and practice.
The poison/fire does damage but having force infuse macro'd and on takes care of this. Keep damage on him, personally i like to use a couple strong specials right away to get his health down, most of the time the bh panics a little and overheals/heals too soon and uses up his mind. My saber fc is high, so i use channel during a fight, though just switching to saber hit instead of specials is something i'll try next time. Between force run, kd, and root, no problem hitting them. Once their mind gets down, it's time to actually fight them. I'll spend a few cycles trying to get dizzy/blind/etc... to stick on them, then i hit them with ab, root, kd, and go to town with every special i have. If my crappy saber can't get the job done quick enough, it's usually just a matter of a saber throw or two.
MLS is not needed, You just need to use different tactics. Instead of trying to take your attacker out in 4-5 specials, try conserving your force and wearing them down. With the right foods and tactics, you can fight for a very long time. I love the long drawn out battles with these types of BHers. Heeks havoc on their armor condition![]()
And the best part, even if your force runs low, root FR away, channel a few times while they lay persuit. If they pull a bike, blow it up and rinse repeat until your back to enough force. Then reengage the BH again for another round of messing uptheir gear.![]()

Anyone has any advise on how to kill these templates?
i am Mdef, LS0404, heal 4100, enh4004
my LS has 620/718 dam
had a fight with a 75% AB slicex armoury BH yesterday and he owned me after few minutes because my force was empty....
any feedback is greatly accepted.
thx
While you appear to have a good build on your saber it's going to take alot more then that to beat a Bountyhunter with this build.
First, you have to alter your tactics. You are not going to win through using a head hit and power attack combo. The trick is to get them in a healing frenzy which will soak up their mind pool in their attempt to keep themselves healed. They will regen mind VERY fast and if thet are a Zabrak you MUST have Stun applied !!!
Your template appears to be loosly built around practicall game play. It's a good build although you're investing skill points in areas where they could be better suited in a different skill.
First, Healer x1xx is 8 skill points and heals wounds. How many wounds do you really think you'll need to heal while fighting a BH? My view would be none. Thus this skill point allocation becomes a waste. (-8 skill points from an effective template)
Second, Enhancer xxx4 provides a very slight improvement over xxx2. Meditate doesn't provide for a huge advantage and it's better to use channel and have other Jedi transfer force. Everyone will be able to regen faster without the use of Meditate. (-6 skill points / -14 total now)
Third, Enhancer 4xxx is fun fun fun! Nothing can argue with how cool it is to run circle around everyone. I love it! Although, is this to support your characters build? Why not spend the skill points in an area which would be better suited for your character and play style? Drop down to 3xxx and you will still move faster then normal players and retain improved force speed. (-2 skill points / -16 total)
Fourth, Lightsaber x4x4....fotm!!! Nothing good to say about this. It's a terrible thing to do unless you're playing a ver restricve roll in combat via strucutred PvP or main supportive roll in PvE. The problem is neither apply to 1v1 Bountyhunter dispatchment. Combine this with your "620/718" saber build, which is awesome, you're wasting your greatest asset! (20 skill points required per tree / 41 skill points required to gain mastery - not possble with your current build)
Alrighty then, you want to deal with these tough BHs and your template is in question. It's obvious your saber is fine so you'll need to look at your asset. The Lightsaber!!! You need to utilize your greatest asset. If you're not going to use it then it's going to waste.
My advice is to alter your skills. pick up a few more skills in lightsaber skill to assist your ability to control your target. Stun is good to have and is underused. Dizzy is also a nice suplemental skill to apply on your target.
You will need to creat a race for the BH to heal your dmg. This will soak up their Mind pool. Leg, Body, Head are good attacks to stagger to speed up the dmg. This combination is where you will see DPS in effect.
Change your template. ![]()

try to keep armour break active... and use a saber hit then saber strike combination with force speed active... you should be able to maintain a fairly goodish damage rate with your saber and gradually drain his mind pool... without using too much force yourself.... oh and use channel when your at about 90% force.... then 80%... so on and so on
Noooo, never channel in the fight, he has you debuffed! You channel and drop your mind low it will never regen in time. My advice is to get root, and stay on him, you will notice most will heal like mad at the beginning if your doing good dam, this is because hes popping ruby beil and 2 stims, he can only do this for a few min till he fills up, he will most likely be taking steak or wafers to mitigate dam, if you see this, hang in there you have already won. After he fills up, all it takes is a root/kd/saber combo and hes dead cause he cany use stims and cant use heals on his back. Usually takes 3-5 min, which seems like forever, so dont panic.
