Thread: Baciacca: May we know the purpose of AI?

i must be bugged was in a full group last night on mustafar in beetle cavern fighting the foreman
activated ai cos i was beeing batterd hard agro stayed on me didnt go after group members
only the AOE heal from cm did that and i didnt have ai when CM did it
Same here. Yesterday I used AI against Light Jedi Sentinels at the Light Enclave. I went right to where they stood and used it and they never flashed their -RETREAT- flytext. I dunno if it was because they were already in their retreat spot or if AI was bugged or if I got lucky.
Thing of it was, it never occured to me AI was nerfed until after the fact. I've completely forgotten about the nerf and used it as I always have.

Yeah stasis is nice... if it hits...sure.. Worthless on any boss since all are immune to it... BUt FR3 is worthless... The damage mitigation is bull**edit**!! And for it being a skill gained in a master box, for one little snare to make you as slow as a normal cl1 toon is well.. dumb as an SOE DEV!
The master Enhancer is not a sit in front of the enemy and hammer away at them proffession... With that snare nerf, it killed us master enhancers, we are a stick and move bunch and we need to get rid of that damage mitigation crap if a snare is going to totally negate our speed.
The chance of missing someone when attacking with stasis is very high, especially when you or your opponent are moving. And sometimes even when stasis hits the effect doesn't get applied. And sometimes in PVP and oftentimes in PVE stasis gets broken by nothing as if they healed it.
I'm not sure about that. Something tells me accuracy is busted. No hard data to prove it though.
I have a friend who wanted to know what snare and transfer force powers looked like, and so we dueled so I could use it on her to show her. She's level 7 dancer and some crafter and whatnot.
-resisted- -resisted- -miss- -miss- -resisted-
errr...
+snare+
FINALLY!
what the hell? =P She was only a level 7 toon!

IF we are talking about master level boxes... Tell me what the hell Force run3 is good for?? A BH can burst run and suffers no damage mitagation..... I run like the wind, but one freaking snare adn i am a snail.. give me a god damn break.... They make master level skills worthless for jedi to get....
Yeah, and that one snare can come from a novice Rifleman with Knee-cap Shot totally negating another master-level ability.
Here's where I get confused...
Master Healer: Total Heal Self=Dead ability
Master Defender: AI=Near-dead ability, difficult to employ without precise coordination
Master Enhancer: Stasis=Lately, very poor accuracy
Master Powers: Force Choke=Works great
Master Lightsaber: Dervish=Should have stayed 0404
When things look like this you have to laugh.
Fun for who, Jedi and Melee Stackers? Seriously, the game was anything but Star Warsy before the CU, still has a ways to go, but at least Ranged Templates are back on top at least in some respects. Personally I don't want to go back to giving a Doctor 30k a day in money for buffs, would I like to see them more useful, sure, but I was dropping tons of cash to them. I don't want to go back to Stackers soloing everything in the game...and I sure as hell don't want to go back to my rifleman/bh being worthless in PVE/PVP. Lots of good changes have come since the CU, and lots of bad...but it seems to me that I hear lots of whining about one BH template...there's nobody crying about BH/Pistoleers, or BH/Carbineers, BH/Riflemen, its all about CM/BH, which is really more the CM than anything. Thank the devs for loosening the restrictions on BH, not BH for making a template that can compete 50% of the time with a good Jedi player. I hear that back to CU crap in the BH forum too from time to time....I find it utterly ridiculous.

-Pre-CU my BH alt was Master BH/Master Pistoleer/Master Marksman/Novice Brawler/2040 Medic and I was able to take on anyone all the way up to Jedi Masters. It's because of noobs like you that Pre-CU got ruined. If you had any competency Pre-CU you'd know that Ranged Professions were far better then Melee if used properly. I'm tired of hearing crying about Pre-CU when it's only because the player lacked the initiate to work for better equipment, didn't take foods, and didn't have a clue how to use his template. I'm sorry dude but Pre-CU was far more balanced than this crap. Melee > Jedi > Ranged > Melee. It was a balance. You relied on your team in PvP to win and you worked in PvE to get the equipment to make that team go. If your Guild/Server was too backwater to figure that out then that's your problem cause on Bloodfin we had mixed templates of all kinds and had no issues dealing with DOTs, stackers, or Jedi. For every Venom there was a Janta Cure, for every Stacker there was a damage dealer, and for every Jedi there was a Pikeman toting a 68% Shield Generator and an 1,800 Pike that he camped NS for a month to get. So GG. Pre-CU was fun and balanced if it was returned to one server I'd pay triple to play on it and 90% of SWG's customers would too.
