Thread: MY SUGGESTION FOR FASTER FORCE REGENERATION, PLZ READ

I have posted before an idea for changing the modifiers given in each of the boxes and adding making Force meditate into:

1.5 x multiplier Force Meditate (Novice or tier 1)

3.0 x multiplier Improved Force Meditate (tier 4 box)

4.5 x multiplier Advanced Force Meditate (Master Enhancer)

Change the Novice boxes to have +2 Force Regen isntead of +1 and change the Tier 3 boxes to have +2 instead of +1 and most issues will be solved.

Of course fix the Regen on the Robe and CAs, as that +10 or whatever mods can be a big deal.

Wouldn't it be easier just to increase the Force Regen we get per box? So instead of 1, we get 2, and instead of 5, get 10. Just double the Force Regen per box and that should make it Force regen at an acceptable rate.

It does not need to be doubled as that would make meditate and channel useless.

I would recommend making:

Box OldNew

Novice +1+2

Tier 1 +1+1

Tier 2 +1+1

Tier 3 +1+2

Tier 4 +2+3

Master +5+5

That would increase a double mastery template from +64 to +87 or roughly 36% increase.

I suggest changing force meditate to Force Preservation, so you may use it while in combat, and it lasts for 5 minutes with a ten minute cooldown after its finished, and decrease the multiplier to 1.5x, or 2x.

After playing swg since it's inception 2 yrs ago, and having jedi for the most of that time, I have come to these conclusions

about how to make force regenerate faster. Most people (jedi) would agree that when out fighting a mob, bh, or whatever;

a jedi's force does not regenerate nearly fast enough, so after much thought and several publications I have thought of a few idea's on how to make this moresensible to all jedi.

1. Make force regenerate the same speed as action/mind/health. (Seems the most obvious)

2. Allow a jedi to use a holocron without having to wait the 24hr period to use another. Keep them at a 1 time use, just allow jedi

just allow the jedi the ability to use a holocron as often as the need.

3. Implement into SWG foods/drinks to help aid in faster regenerations (since health/action/mind all have those).

4. Give jedi much more force per skill box, (in other words a novice box has 200 force, make a novice box 500 force and the

master boxes go from 500 force to 1000 force).

These are all idea's from myself, that I would like to see the developer's seriously think about and hopefully we can see some

positive change's in SWG, since I do enjoy the game tremendously; however, it's incredibly hard to play with very little force

and always backing out of combat to regenerate.

This post is not a place to flame me or my idea's, so please do not, but post your idea's here on how to make regenerating better.

Have we forgotten the days, when it took 4-6 bh's to kill 1 jedi, or have I been playing swg too. If this game is supposed to be as close to the movie as possible, when in the movies did we see 1 BH ever kill a jedi all on his own. Someone PLEASE REFRESH MY MEMORY. Also, I don't ever remember Luke or any jedi ever saying 'hold on a sec I need to back out of combat and regen force', or did any jedi ever stop combat because they ran out of force. No they stopped because another jedi killed them or they realized they were gonna die and ran away. Please, you bh have begged for this and you all got it. So I say more power to you all.

Actually in episode 2 when all the jedi appeared to save obi-wan, padme, and anakin in the monster pit, jengo fett did blast one jedi all by himself as he was protecting count dukoo, only to get his head chopped off by mace windu minutes later...lol You asked so i told you.

But this i must say all the ideas ive read in the countless forums have been pretty good. problem is that as long as you pitt one group against another the strife regarding which is the better and most uberest profession, which has the most advantage and the least advantage , and calls for nerfs or un-nerfs will continue on. The jedi bounty hunter wars is the problem nothing else.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.
