The reasoning is better saber, Aura is currently BORKED and seeing that the devs have no desire to communicate. Well you get the picture there. You gain the whole 4th line in LS for the additional attacks/bonuses. Just my .02 cents.

If I were to go with a powers template that's more than likely the template I'd go for but I get the impression the op wants fr2 which all by itself prohibits many other templates. And they better fix aura!

if you can live without fr2 as i do, go mpowers enh3402 heal4000 def 4040 or 0440 your choice, you get 82 inate armor with this one.

again your mpowers use your saber for show.

A friend recommended to me:

Master Powers, Enhancer 3402, Defender 4040, and Healer 4000. He says it works really well for him. I am currently Powers 4400, Enhancer 2002, Def 2030 and Healer 3000 and it is also working well for me, its a lot of fun.

That is an awesome MPowers temp. no doubt BUT in keeping w/ the OP's intent ya gotta get some saber in there. Not to mention that Force Armor 2 will do a good enough job in most situations. Also w/ straight MPowers and no 0404 sabers you only have an area KD and area Intim. Which is not good in a lot of situations. This way he can deal the AB, KD w/ powers OR saber and use a follow up attack immediately. Otherwise you are bound by the zip timers and cool downs of only powers.

First of all... saber throw and saber block from the 0004 LS branch are almost a necessity for a powers template imo (being a mpowers myself). I'm not going to tell you how to play or what template to pick... All i can tell you is what I've learened from personal experience... Mpowers / 3402 enhancer / 4000 healer / 0404 LS is my current template... and I LOVE IT... despite what all these naysayers said about powers being uber weak... I literally pwn BH's, no since in getting 4000 enhancer, why have a force run with reduced damage output? And I can't stress this enough... 0004 LS is great for powers... why? Well for1, it blocks almost half the shots coming from bh's rifles... 2, sabers abilities are on a completely DIFFERENT timer than powers abilities... what does that mean, that means you can basicly do a saber attack then a powers attack (or visa versa) back to back, no wait.... A combo i like to do (once they are armor broken and have choke ticking) is improved lightning + improved saber throw... tearsem apart.... May I also suggest not grinding out MLS just to drop it after you ccraft a saber... 0004 LS is enough to craft, you only get 2 extra points of experimentation from MLS which will not be extremely noticable, however if you are a perfectionist, every little bit helps.... hope this lil rant was of some advice to you... and remember, screw everyone who rags on powers... it may be under-powered in it's current state but it still kicks ass if used properly

Very similar to the template I have in mind but 0044 LS as opposed to 0404 LS. I am a pikeman at heart and have a thing for smackin peoeple in the leg. I also have this undeniable urge to spin around with a saber and cut down a whole bunch of nunas!

more power to ya if you dig the double bladed style... but without armor break i'm not sure how effective it will be UNLESS you just have an insanely badass saber... see my saber has freaggin 30 FC which makes me pick and choose very wisely about what to use so i don't run out of force too quick... but on the other hand MOST (not all) of the bh's i end up facing... only take my force bar down to half (sometimes less) before they die.

even i have a gen 4 with only 22fc but i put the fc pearls in since all my damages range between 55 being the lowest ive kept and 68 being the best tune so far out of 12 good pearls 5 quality pearls and about 15-20 clear good/fair crystals.

Force Armor 2 is way more beneficial than Improved Aura. Granted it sucks through your force pool but hell so does aura. The thing is the MPowers/Saber 0404 template is a damage dealing template. Think about it as an all out attack against a foe as opposed to a finely orchestrated strategy. You will be healing a bit more often because wihtout aura you will get hit more often but thats about it. With this template a fast and horrible death is to be dealt to your opponent. If the odds are against you, CLOAK, channel and hit em again!
