Fixing the Pearl drop/tune issue would go a long way in calming folks down. There's be less of a division between pre/post CU unlocks, and there'd be less complaining about BHs (although that will never go away totally). Tiggs posted recently that a fix was being coded, but declined to provide an ETA on when it'll be completed.

Because there's a vacum of information from the Devs, the players are filling it.... with rumor, speculation and hate. I'm not sure Bac' could "fix" that, aside from posting in the rumor threads and telling the kiddies to shut the Hell up.

The old correspondent provided a spoiler for most of the content with the expansion. I fail to see how that is a good thing.

Your idea of what a correspondent should be doing is signifigantly different that alot of others here (including myself).

well, what is a correspondent? A correspondent is supposed to communicate SOMETHING, and darthfuse's point is that he doesnt communicate anything. he ignores. but if that makes a good correspondent to you, then so be it......

I've said my share of negatives against our current jedi corr.

You got to remeber he doesn't get paid for this so he can't be doing this every minute out of the day.

Would you rather have him posting here or concentrating on reading through the filth in these forums and pulling out the informative posts and relaying them to the devs?

There's alot of garbage to filter through here.

Even then whatever he gives to the devs might not even be read because they already have something else in mind.

He can't break NDA because most likely SOE would have a punishment for him far worse than permadeath.

SOe calls them correspondents but they should change the name to scapegoats, because that's all they are.

The devs do something we don't like, who feels it the most? The corrs, and they don't even get paid to deal with it.

We're being set up like bowling pins for whatever it is they are going to do with us.

Good, not good....whatever....but that is the reason for the silence.

Same thing happened in the CU Alpha forums. In the beginning, there was daily interaction with players and devs....good exchange of ideas.

Then, the WoW and EQ people got hired and the commlinks went dead for over six weeks. Not a peep. Next thing we knew....they cancelled alpha testing, went to a limited beta test, and pushed it live.

I think the same thing is happening now. Whatever they are up too....it is in the works and we aren't going to hear about it until it is nearly finished.

If you blame the current state of the jedi and jedi forum on the current correspondent you are on drugs! Either that or being completely ignorant of the correspondents job!

Its not the correspondents fault that Jedi got hit so much! Julio Torres and the other developers have to take that hit! After all, he said on the leipzig fanfest this year he decided to nerf jedi when he saw them take out Neocris by their own!

When it comes to the current state of the Jedi forum, and all the trash you find here, you cant blaim that on the Correspondent, or the developers. But on the players itself!! There are so many ignorant brats around here posting so much crap, that all the serious posts are drowning in it!!

When it comes to SG an his posts about quests on Mustafar, that one is a HUGE service to the player mass who wants help to complete them! Lots of people do! And Im one of them who have enjoyed SG posts from mustafar! They are also labeled spoilers, so if you want to do the quests by yourself, without any help, thats more then possible! It is in any situation not a correspondents job or any others job to make such guides. But there are some people out there who enjoy helping people. AND FOR THAT SG AND BACIACCA SHOULD HAVE HUGE THANKS FOR!!!!!!!

The correspondent dont have all that much influence. They are just a subtool for SOE. A tool SOE can ask from time to time, and get feedback from. But they do definitely not need to listen to our correspondents, which SOE have proven a few times they dont have to!

The jedi correspondents will always be subjective and partial to the profession they represents, while SOE have to be impartial and objective in their evaluations. In any way, blaming our correspondents for not doing his/her work because we get nerfed etc. if is very BAD thing, because we are letting them take the heat for a situation they cant control! Instead we should back up upon our correspondents for standing up for us!! They love the jedi profession. They love the game. And they love to help the jedi community - and that i have to say find little strange. Specially when they know all the thanks they will have from it, is a kick in the butt over SOEs private decisions for the jedi profession!!!
