Thread: Remove Snare & Root from the game.
there are plenty of weapons in the books,and rpg that can snare peeps. look at the heir to the empire trilogy when luke first fought the noghri, they used spraysticks on him and almost had him.

I am not a fan of realism in these games, but calling it magic becuase you can slow someone down with special abilities and shots is just as bad. There are many explanations to how you can keep your enemy from moving at maximum speed, so there is no reason to go to an extremes to seek explanations just becuase one does not like it.

SOE felt these changes were needed to bring balance, so 7-8k single kill shots are all part of the balance. We should all just be riflemen and SL, and take turns single shot killing each other all day, then there will be balance, lol.
there has been Avoid Incap before CU,just that it was semi-bs that there werent many defenders u could see around,on my server there were at most 5-10 mdefenders pre-cu,with CU there were thousands (lol there is hardly anyone who doesnt have a jedi nowadays),then with the "snareonself" nerf,therehave beenless Mdef.s

These were all in the game pre-cu. Except Root was called Warcry.

OH yeah DUH, I don't know why I put that in there, but well what I mean is now it's practically useless.
And hey KD/dizzy didn't entirely bother me, skilled PVPers still lived with that.

ah ok you are a skilled PvPer who can handle KD/dizzy but you cant handle a snare...

The problems these 2 abilities cause in this game for Melee Profs is unbalanced, especially considering the current state of PVP.

Sure,
Right after they take out AB and skills that boots your defense by 500 pnts like TKA CoB|Force aura, or give a 500pnt D boost special to ranged, then I am all for it.
