Hell I didn't even decide to go Jedi until I heard about the cu. I unlocked pre cu but didn't have time to grind fs and hunt krayts at the same time. I have been playing for aslong if not longer than you and for you to tell me what I deserve and not deserve because of how I liked to play the game is idiotic. Nobody saw the nerf coming to pearls not exactly like SOE gives anyone warning when they decide to nerf something. Don't go around telling people you don't know and don't know how they played what they deserve and don't deserve.

not when you consider that most pre-cu jedi are packina set of 120+ -9 sabers.. thus often outdamaging post -CU jedi by 100pts or more. And we wont discuss the SAC cost on those sabers... this time. Pre-cu jedi may have tuned hundreds of pearls to get their perfect sabers... but we post CU will likely tune hundreds to get anywhere NEAR the damage they put out.See, for a little perspective, I do pretty darn well in 1v1 combat... with ANYONE... i dont always win and sometimes get beaten in short order.... BUT when a pre-cu jedi can hot a master defender 4 times and he's incapped... while running aura AND healing and buffed.. and doped up.... something is just plain wrong.We NEED those pearls to drop again. And we need to adjust the HAM and force cost of SABER attacks as well.

i dont know where you go the dozens figure from, but as a friend of mine put it, when she asked how many crystals she would need A YEAR BEFORE she unlocked, she was told it depends on luck, but averages out to about 350 or so. so she hoarded crystals in the bank, in storage houses, in droids until the magic 350 number was reached. post cu unlockers who didnt put this type of preperation into what they were doing dont deserve better sabers.
i tuned over 200 pearls/crystals pre-cu, still dont have the perfect saber, i could boost the damage by 15 or so, maybe knock .1 from the speed if i wanted to tune 200 more(which i dont) so stop whining and start farming all you post cu unlockers. you would think you were suprised by the unlock the way your going on about this.
Thats all fine and dandy. I dont blame you for wanting to enjoy the game doing quests, guild events, etc. Just dont come in here with your crappy saber and cry when a pre-cu jedi OR a post-cu jedi who has made efforts to improve their weapon beats you. I have seen post-cu jedi, with a lot of dedication, have sabers VERY close to the stats of mine.
When I started Jedi I took the time to make my new alt a krayt killer (back then it was Swords/Doc), if I logged on and none of my friends was on (3 rl friends who grinded our jedi via solo grouping with each other) to grind with, I jumped to my alt and hunted krayts. My saber isnt perfect either.
If you want a good saber, either buy your crystals/pearls, or go out and keep at it till you get enough good tunes.
But pearls were much easier to get pre-cu during the krayt boom. I'd take my swordsman out buffed, with a 900 dmg ph, hunt the duration of the buffs and come in with 12+ quality pearls, and 3 or 4 premiums. And I would do this often.You had a goodchance at gettingonedecent tune on these pearls. DECENT TUNES are all we want. It may have taken hundreds of pearls to get a really good saber, but I'd assume it took much less to get the equivalent of a 650-680 damage saber.
I don't mind not being as good as pre-cu jedi. Its not like I PvP with them anyway with the craptastic saber I have.

2 players, one a rifleman, the other a tank, and i can still kill 20 krayts an hour, and collect 5 good pearls. of my last 20 pearls that i gave/sold, one was 107 damage, -8fc.
so dont tell me you cant do it, tell me instead that you dont want to bother.

no i call you an elitist because you reek of 'i'm better than you'. The problem with you TRUE powergamers is you truley believe you SHOULD have to spend 120hrs have a good time and enjoy the idea that your toon is a good as he should be. I'll bet you spend more time in this world that the real world. Because only those people believe that WORKING your toon is fun. Get a life. I been in this game for 27months. Theres not much i havent done. And i have never believed tht ANY of it should take up more of your waking hours than a job.

glad you enjoyed the content, sorry your saber sucks
i managed to do both in the 2 years ive been playing, but focused more on the crystals/pearls aspect than on content.
and im not saying your a bad player because of the choices youve made, im saying they were your choices, stop whining because i made ones that related to having a better saber. its not elitest, you could have 150 badges that i dont have(only have 75) you could have all the end quest items that i dont, you could have become very good at pvp, or anyone of 1000 things that i didnt do.

ive gotten 20 or 30, and others ive hunted with have collected more than that while with me.
and im not spending much time hunting them anymore
