The HAM bar was the game's major flaw that caused issue after issue, making a great amount of professions redundant, making 95% of all drinks redundant, making some stuff superexpensive such as mindfire/minddisease/mindpoison (none of which makes any sense). Making Wookiee's terrible becouse of their short mindbar, and making Mon Calamari overpowered.

Yes, they had to throw that out and rehaul the game from scratch to balance it... 2 years of attempts to balance it should have told you that.

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Did you try pvp pre-cu ?

Fixed, and yes. pvp pre-cu was a nobrainer at best. I was a TKM/4400 Fencer/0040 Pistoleer/0010 Smuggler and something more, I dont remember exactly. I got a VK produced out of nym vibromotors, a crate of psg's and a 90% composite. I believe I lost one single duel with that template, and that was becouse I started a new fight on full stomach. Intimidate was on macro, warcry was on macro, I just needed to swap between combo hit / UnarmedKnockdown and UnarmedHeadHit really. It was all about Knockdown/Dizzy back then.

Most of my opponents could do like 50-100 damage against me. They tried dots, but my regeneration was so great it didnt help. Duels took like 15-20 minutes and could ruin an entire set of armor.

Multiplayer fights was terrible... Like 90% of the players played either Swordman, Doctor, TKM or Rifleman. Even finding anything else was a rare sight. All respect to thoose guys.

Bounty Hunters where always 3000/TKM and when ADK's came it was useless to try to beat them, since even the maxed lightsaber did like 20-30 damage.

Jedi fights was all about swapping between heal, dervish and saberslash, heal, dervish and saberslash, heal, dervish and saberslash.

And actiondisease... Man... Really... I cant drop that subject... "ACTIONDISEASE"... "ACTIONDISEASING ENERGY RIFLES"... wt-f???

And then the riflemen would have whined that their advantage was gone, so now you have three ranged professions that are completely equal except riflemen can hit mind. If your fix makes everything totally equal, why have three professions? We could just go play Quake. A mind stim? what would the limiting factor be? Can you say invincible docs? Massive heals, and mind heals to boot... You think none of those ideas were brought up in the year and a half pre-CU? Already got rehashed over and over... See?

The pre CU system was terribly flawed from the beginning, whether you're talking about the 90% armor with no penalty for wearing it thanks to doc/entertainer buffs and stacked food, or the ability to hit the stat pool that is used to heal the others, and (short of two classes ) can not be itself healed, to the dreadful AP system that tried to make slower weapons stronger, without accounting for the fact that template stacking or CAs could cap speed and make that heavyap T21 hit as fast as the fastest pistol, thus negating any tradeoff. Add to that Mobs scaled to buffed characters, and you can't do anything in the game at all without first finding a doc buff. Add to that the totally outrageous DoT drop weapons, handing players better DoTs than the professions that payed skill points to get them.

The ammount of 'little fixes' that would have been made to fix things would have made it a completely different system, which oddly enough, is what we got.

Not everybody think "I am über" = fun.

I had fun for 2 months pre-cu. The time between that up to the CU itself was really boring and empty. The game was far to simple, static and suffered from lack of content, and the sologroups ruined all contact with friends. Most of my guildies left between august 2004 to december 2004. They all said that the game is boring and repetitive and works against doing things together.

Have you tried pvp pre-cu ?

I think she refers to the Dizzy + KD combo. That was pre CU PvP. That or the spam of headshot to kill someones mind.

Post CU you actually have to try to alternate attacks.

That, and Dervish + Saberslash + Heal, which was Jedi combat at the time.

Some people talk the talk but they can't walk the walk. And here's a big example, Rifleman / Combat Medic, theycould take a regular melee stacker anyday and you are saying "I think I lost one single duel with that template". What you dueled like three people pre-cu !?

You're a little prissy one, aren't you? It looks like you don't even know what you're talking about.

1 - Nobody cares what you had Pre-CU.
2 - About the multiplayer fights, everyone was the same profession. Well, it's always been like that. But now 95% of the people are jedi. Other 4 % MBH/MCM Post CU. Pre it was about your gear, not your skills really. Thats what made it fun. Going out and hunting DoT lances. Now, what is there to loot?
3 - It was easy to beat TKM / BH's. Don't know where you goin with that.
4 - Jedi fights were fun Pre-CU. They were fast paced, deadly, and fun. And look at all the things your listing that jedi have to "swap". Now, Post CU, It's all Head hit / Leg hit / heal. And combat is soooo slow. And there isn't really a tactic. Just whoever gets the KD bug first. And not to mention... Jedi fights and regular duels are BORING, SLOW, AND POINTLESS.

Also, not to mention, Grinding skills pre-cu actually payed off. Post CU.. not so much.

whats the difference now? Spam head hit, body hit, powerattack. of course have to throw a bit of armor break and kd everynow and then + heal. Not much of a difference to me, except combat is so slow now its boring.

i could take my melee stacker pre cu and OMGWTFPWN any ranged class/jedi/dot **edit**.... the only ppl that had a chance were other def stackers... maybe it was a combonation of investing into the best armor plaus foods plus best defenses around. or maybe it was because ranged lost any advantage once Line Of Sight was placed into the game

You have no clue what you talk about. You make up a very hollow assumption and then spin further on it. I was as extreme in dissecting the system back then as I am now. When I was still MBH/MPistoleer I defeated fully buffed / armored brawlers while I was unbuffed and armorless. I only used food.

I really did not need more since I was exceptionally good at kiting, and I just needed some food for the SAC.
