You must wait the full 3 weeks from my understanding or get a friend who is a doc and let them kill you then revive you so you dont loose as much xp and then you can get back to the grind!

No, it decays constantly, but at a variable rate that comes down to: you have 0% visibilty after 3 weeks. You'll show up a little less often on the terms as time goes by, but not much.

no its not full of crap, i often kill NPC with auto defense of my saber, i have never been on the boards, /knockOnWood

An example: i go into theed for some reason, and i just happen to be combatant for some stupid reason and here i am auto attacking a storm tropper in front of about 30 oppisite faction players. Well anyways no boards there. Like i said also whenever a mokk comes up and try to take my lizzards i allways get close enough they attack me and i auto attack back, no vis.

dont take anyones advice not even mine

How can I counter drive bys? I hunt far away from any starports, but it's still happened.

How do I stop getting wet in the rain?

you've asked the imposible question; you could be in the top right hand corner of dathomir, at the very edge of the map, and it's still possible theoretically to get a drive by. You just minimise the possibility. Once your spot starts to get busy, you gonna get drive bys. Consider moving from where you normally fight stuff.

Drive bys happen, either by mistake or on purpose.

My question is, I set up a macro that clears the combat queue and then has /peace about 5-6 times. If I use then when I see someone coming near me, but I'm still attacking when they pass me by will I get visability? Since you can't peace out totally and turn off your saber. From what I read that if you are defending yourself you won't get visability.

You are doing the right thing. I stayed off the terminals for the entire duration of my grind. I had plenty of drive-by's and I handled them like you do.

Basically, the most important thing is not to perform any saber specials or other force skills withing 32m of any player or non-animal NPC. Clearing the combat queue is the essential thing to do. I have the following macro bound to my BREAK key:

/dump;
/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/peace;
/stopFollow;

This macro acts as a "stop whatever I am doing" action. I have found it quite useful - also for my non-Jedi toons. Due to some timing issue or lag you may sometimes have to press it more than once. This mostly happens if you have a macro running.

If you are a low-level Padawan and your non-Jedi defenses are more powerful, then it may also be a good idea to equip your non-Jedi weapon. That way you have a better chance at surviving the mobs while the beat you up. If you have MLS, just keep your LS equipped but do NOT use any specials and do NOT initiate combat in any way (such by using the command /attack).

You said that macro is bound to your "break" key, what do you mean? There is a way to bind a macro to a key on the keyboard?

Yes, it's under Options - Controls - Keymap. Look at the "Custom" tabbed page. It lists all your macros.

I have tested this a few times. Killing just a few NPCs or even a few drive bys will not put you on terminals by themselves.

There is a threshold on visibility for terminals, also decay on visibility, so you will not get on terminals by a single driveby unless you have built up some visibility already.
