It is a LS so make it do dmg like one... Funny they can melt doors, cut off arms in a single hit, take off Jango's head in one shot, cut akley's legges off like they were butter, take out cat-walks with a single throw, cut Darth Maul in halfalso in a single swipe, should I go on? BUT they cant hit anyone with good energy armor hum sounds real startwarsy to me...

Either make it LS damage, make them do alot more dmg, or take out AB sliceing

Nice and simple sig lol

Reinstate the unique "Lightsaber" Damage type on Lightsabers and probably Powers too. AFTER this is done, I see no need for Armor Break in the jedi saber tree. With no 'Saber Armor Break' then'Saber Power Attack' could be un-nerfed to its former glory as that line is no longer 'crowded' with good skills.

yes. add lightsaber damage back in. put a cap on how high any type of armor can get this resistance. take it off PSGs. add LS resist to jedi innate armor. Problem of underpower jedi solved.

How many of you would like to see "Lightsaber damage" reinstated into the armor system?
VOTE: Yes or No

Why did you even start this thread? You, and everyone else, knew what the answer was going to be.

Here is what I believe.

In the SW universe, the only possible thing that had any resistance to Lightsabers was anything that was made from cortosis ore. Thus no one could even fight against a jedi without losing armor, weapon,or life. And there are no hitpoints used in the normal SW universe. Just wounds or death, and clones degenerated and after a few generations of cloning clones, they were no longer viable as templates.

However, as this is no longer the SW universe since the day the server first came up, we have melee weapons that for some reason can block/parry a lightsaber anytime they can move fast enough, and armor that can stop the damage that a lightsaber can do. Here we have hitpoints, and clones that are viable no matter how many times that you die. Also, here, lightsabers are no better than high end melee weapons. With the best pearl/crystals, lightsabers are just over the best melee weapon, but not by much.

So, I would have to say:

Yes if we are going to go back to permadeath/SW universe continuity (erasing most of the jedi that exist along the way as well).

No if we are going to stay the way things are now, and bring back Premium pearls/crystals, as well as up damage done by Lightsabers.

Since I know that we are not going to go back to normal SWU continuity, I am going to have to cast my vote in the No catagory, and ask that everyone support the idea of premium pearls/crystals, and higher damage.

Yes, Lightsabers should ignore armor, It'll make logical sense and give us a damage boost.

The thing I keep wondering (I unlocked just after the CU went live) is what the actual damage of lightsabers was before the CU. I mean, 450 to 550 points of damage from a lightsaber to a target with zero pre-CU Lightsaber resistance looks a whole lot more imposing than those same 450 to 550 points or so from a saber that's attacking a target with over 7000 points of post-CU energy resistance. Was the base damage output tweaked at all in the conversion, or did the devs just change the damage type and leave the rest as is?
