Last time I tested it according to my notes, improved gave +250 defense and 25 damage feedback.

parry riposite stance??....hmmm.....i known only Duelist stance. work 30 sec
I am tired.
It still gives +250 defense and can be reapplied while running even with a ranged weapon.
Just an FYI.
Duelist Stance is +125 def, must be standing to apply, and there is a warm up timer (3 sec or so).
Regular Duelist Stance gave +125 with 10 damage feedback.
Parry Riposte Stance gave +80 with no recorded damage feedback.

Duelist Stance is +250 def at master (which is what it must be compared to), there is a warmup timer which is a second or two.

If I had my way, I would strip doc and combat med of rez abilities and give it to a Jedi Master Healers who unlocks Jedi Master (rez should be a Jedi master only ability when FRS returns)

You become a jedi to be a specific profession, not be a better version of everyone else. Jedi are focused on the force, not everyday convensions. Even anakin skywalker couldn't heal other jedi from death in the clone wars, why should you guys? You are self-taught weak jedi that do not have the power of big players. Once the FRS comes out again and your a master, even then you will not be as good as fisto or windu.
Main point: Jedi is one profession not all professions beefed up

in star wars a new hope.... luke got deathblowed by a tusken raider when they were looking for r2.... ben kenobi scared away the tusken and then went to luke... put his hand on luke's temples and /reviveplayered
watch it again it all happened OMFGPWNDD

while healer does need to have every skill that a doc or cm has, the profession really does need a revamp to be usefull. On the rez topic..people say that Skywalker could not even bring people back to life, did you ever see a doc on starwars rez'ing some one? Healer needs to be revamped to be usefull but not take the place of non jedi healing professions.

that is untrue, i know jedi who could rez themselves a million times as long as they have force

I'm only 4000 healer myself (like most people), so this isnt out of personal bias. But healer is most certainly the least used proffession available to us. And the reason is simply that healer overal gives less ability / benefit then a doctor or CMwould get.Master doctor:2 methods of damage healing (Bacta shot, Bacta jab)1 Heal over time (bacta infusion)Wound healingDrag skill (often overlooked but VERY useful in mass pvp)Can clear states and effects(stabilizers, bandage, countertoxin, extinguish fire, disinfect)Can give 6 types of buffsCan rez at masterGains defensive mods (50 melee/ranged)And for a measly 5 skill points, a doctor can have bacta toss, and a few points more give an area heal.Master Healer:2 methods of damage healing (force heal, total heal)1 Heal over time (force infusion)Can heal while KDWound healingCan clear states and effects (heal states, stop bleeding, cure poison, cure disease, force extinguish)2 debuff skills (sap, shock)No buffsNo rez ability? No defensive modsNo options to grow beyond this skillset as far as healing is concernedNow, Im not of the mindset that the healing tree should get defensive mods (thats what defender is for). However it's pretty clear to me that giving the healer trees some sort of doc-style buffs, and master healer getting a rezzing ability makes a lot of sense to putting jedi healing on par with the other healing proffessions and would increase the number of jedi healers in use. I know there are lots of people who want to play the jedi healer role, but do not because the skillset isnt very functional.Anywho theres my data and my idea, post your responses, questions, concerns, poetry and what not if you wishMessage Edited by EAB on 10-09-2005 01:14 PM
Ya, it's called master enhancers. They get a self Rez, healers should be able to REZ others.
Enhancer, like healer has a lot of abilities that are pretty much worthless which is why not many jedi ever go that route.
For example, the entire state resist line in enhancer(xx4x) is useless. Improved and Advanced Force run are both worthless because of high damage reduction. Force meditate does not regenerate force quick enough for it to be usefull, you are better off sitting down and using channel force. Improved Force speed is less then a doctor's adrenal boost, and it lasts only 10 minutes. I thought jedi were supposed to be 1.5 times more powerfull, thus technically there should be an advanced force speed in master enhancer that gives +38 to speed.
One idea i had for improved and advanced force run:
Improved Force run
- Keep 95% damage reduction
- add 50 % dodge
- Immunity to snares while active(root/daze would disable the abilities of the force run, so that would be it's week point)
Advanced Force Run
- Keep 95% damage reduction
- add 75% dodge
- Increase force cost to 1000 force, or add a slight force cost while dodging incoming fire, but not while just running around)
- Immunity to snares/roots/dazes while active(should have limited weak point, remember, still can do Minimal damage while active, maybe don't allow user to use stasis while advanced force run is active so that they can't just run around stasising people with little risk.)
Both of these make sense because while this ability is active you are moving at insane speeds and should be able to dodge and block incoming fire even better then a master defender, after all according to the movies, jedi who are using the most advanced state of force run are no more then a blur to the human eye, thus they would be near impossible to hit. of course, that will probably not happen, but it would make those two skills more usefull then force run, which they currently are not.
