Thread: We can't fight. We can't run. Were being 1 shotted. Isn't it time to remove forced Pvp?

I agree a lot of love is needed to Mhealer to make it viable once again had a friend quit at CU due to the fact his beloved mastery was so hard hit, like you he was a support Char that could hold his own, didn't realise you were Mhealer that is one jedi mastery that really does need a lot of attention !!Me, I always was going MLS with some def, healer and enhancer just some of the skills changed so had to change my temp a littleto refit my style of play

Simple fix for this I feel.
PvP = Vis
Everything else, questing and such = no Vis

Many skillsets could need some love, even Defender and Enhancer have things they need. But we have played with theese characters for 6 months now, and I cant say anyone found ways to bypass Healers lack of abilities, except thoose lucky enough to have a maxed out pre-cu lightsaber. Mine isnt.
What they did was to consider Jedi "done" August 2004, seven months before the CU, even if theCU design was not even established August 2004.
Seven months later they simply removed toughness and replaced it with armor, but since Jedi dont have armor... so they have nothing...
They removed block, and replaced it with... nothing...
Defense was made far more important than before... and still non-defenders had... nothing...
Dots/Wounds/Battlefatigue/states was removed or tweaked down to be something you didnt need to bother about at all... Instead Healers got Sap and Shock. Sap got nerfed, and why would a Healer need "Shock"?
Three disciplines out of four was no longer suitable together with Master Defender. So why arent everybody Master Defender?
Becouse of the forcebar and heals. You cannot be 0404 Lightsaber / Master Defender / Master Enhancer becouse you have no heals. You cannot be 0404 Lightsaber / Master Defender / Master Healer becouse of no force regen. You can be Master Enhancer/Master Powers/4040or4004 however.
As long as a large portion of Defender is essential to your template now, stuff not given through the Lightsaber tree, people find it difficult to get hold of 0002 Enhancer and 4000 healer, and often they have to sacrifice alot of Defense, just to get 0002 Enhancer or 4000 healer. Even 3000 Enhancer start to grow essential due to the recent addition of root/snare.
In effect, Master Defenders is a Pinata that you just need to keep out of reach from until they run out of force, while Enhancers is a sitting duck without wings. Master Powers have grown into being one of the best, simply becouse they can cloak away from combat, but I cant say they are very efficient in defeating stuff on range like they are supposed to. And finally Healers have no room in this game anymore.
We should have been revamped with the rest, but we where not. This is why I say we need free respecs and no xp loss (or the BH terminal disabled) until we have a system in which all of theese Jedi templates are suitable to take on a Bounty Hunter... and really be x1.5 like we are supposed to be.
Remember that the x0.5 is supposed to compensate for the BH's "first strike".
Your average non-cookie cutter template are definitely not "x1.5" anymore. Sure, there are people out there who do nothing but pvp with their Jedi, so their skill might be x1.5 but their templates are definitely not. Bounty Hunters on the other hand, are often masters at what they do, since defeating Jedi is all that they do with their time online.
There need to be space for Templates not built for ultimate 1vs1 pvp, players who do not focus on building the best template they can squeeze from the system, and currently, there is no such space.

Same template as MisNil's except 0404 LS, pretty terrible template but hey it's what you want to be and what's fun for you... at least try. Master healer is wickedly useless and now forcerun from a snare, state resist line doesn't work well, over half of healer's skills aren't worth putting on the toolbar. A dabbling template seems to reward Jedi with better strength unfortunately.

If we are supposed to pvp on our alts, what about us pre-9 jedi that our alts ARE our jedi?
And think about it...The only way jedi are going to be removed from GCW pvp is to make a light/dark faction pvp where you would be overt all the time to only jedi, and possibly bounty hunters when they get the mission.
