"THEY NEED TO SEND THAT EMAIL AGAIN... if this was done this has the answer and the FACTS -- of how it is meant to be and how it will be.

Right now you have to many Dancers that wanted Jedi that are now stuck and having no clue what to do when they unlock.. its showing too bigtime.

This way that emails explains what YOU CHOSE what your going to have to do and deal with.. no questions and no worries."

You got it backwards. That's because Jedi are forced to PVP and BH whined a lot that jedi were nerfed to the teeth to balance them towards them.

let em nerf jedi to the same as any other prof (as if it wasn't already), i dont care. i don't want to be jedi to be uber, i just want to RP my jedi, you know the RP in the RPG. i just want to play the game and have fun with out being forced into someone's idea of pvp fun because it was part of a long changed system.

make pvp optional to EVERYONE, even jedi.

Esta i agree with everything you say but talking to jedibd is like talking to a brick wall.

Not a brick wall but give me one reason that the system needs to be changed other than 'I want it to be easier"

Thats the root of your whole argument.

And for the 1000 time you chose a path knowing the hazzards

The complete oposite is true. Remove forced pvp and we can get our powers back. SOE nerfed the jedi profession so that other professions could be able to stand up against jedi in the GCW.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Don't get vis and you won't have PCs coming after you.

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.
Anyone who says, "Trust Me" can not be trusted.
It is not what you are killing but what you are allowing to live.

NO what I'm say is some Jedi like BH some don't, ok you want BH fine your choice, give them the right to choose. And where in the Manual does it say a Jedi will have forced PVP. The whole game is not the same one we started playing and infact not the same gamewe became Padawans in! In fact its more like Jedi vs Bount hunter Wars. Forget the Starwars as that title does not really apply anymore.

Before the CU a Jedi was strong and could Roleplay, now Jedi are level'ed off to everybody else and cannot roleplay anymore. Trying to lead the hermit life etc is just not possible now, it takes groups to do stuff in this game now.

Oh and what about the Dev's stating that the Bounty Hunter would be a one vs one and the Bounty hunter had a chance because he could pick his moment to strike. This is compleate and utter tripe and this does not happen, often the BH comes before you and bows and ask's if your ready. This is hardly a supprise attack now is it.

Also the terminals are not randamiseing the Jedi properly and often the same Jedi is plastered on the first 5 pages, I could put up with a few BH, but for some its 5 an hour and like MsNil and many more, myself included ground Jedi to play it and not hide and useour alt's 24/7, otherwiseour whole time to get the Jedi was a pointless waste of our money andtime!

Ok...I don't like that shuttle times are too fast, that there isn't any dialogue in cantinas and that my equipment degrades. Should I ask that all these be changed to suit MY vision?

How does the shuttle issue disturb you, Oh I forgot, your also a BH and the jedi can shuttle hop to quickly for your likeing. And as one of the first ten in the City of the Sith on Dantooine, nice chap I met in the Mos Eisley Catina and yes we did pass a lot of dialogue that night and ofter. I went and dropped a house in his city.

And everybodys equipment degrades, but not everybody is forced into PVP by proffession!

pvp is the biggest cause of nerfs in this game and the source of loads of problems. that's why i can't wait for ddo. NO PVP AT ALL!! never will they have to ballance one class vs some uber trick the powergamers learned. think of all the time spent on pvp ballance issues that could have been devoted to adding new content and fixing non pvp bugs.

Aren't you guys tired of this same stupid comment over and over?

Like I said earlier, have the Jedi hunt the BHs as well so they can feel the pain too.

It needs to be changed because it causes so much hate, turmoil, frustration, contention, and disruption. It creates too many opportunities for harassment, opportunities for exploits, and opportunities for players to grief each other! Ever see that happening or people talking about it happening? Make it harder and longer through questing im all for that. Its not about easy its about having to deal with people that i dont like or want to associate with.

As much as some of you like to flame me, cuz yes i have been pig headed to my view, i really understand both points of view. Here is a solution to appease both sides of the argument. Tell me what you think.

What if the rules of visibility were changed so that NPC city limits generate visibility as well as faction npc's.

For example if you were standing in Mos Eisley or Theed showing off your Jediness then you would generate visibilty at an extremely high rate to the point that with in5 minutes of doing so your name would be on the terminals. Simulating the fact that people living there my start to gossip or call you in. It would be easy to tell if you were in the NPC city limits because of the system message that is already in place.

Now faction NPC's that are found in the wild would also generate visibility but at a much less rate then in city limits. 15 minutes of showing off your Jediness, howeverwould result in full visibility and put your nameon the terminals. This would simulate the time it would take for an outpost to report you. And i would also say that Imp NPC's would also generate visibility at a slightly higher rate than rebel npc's as imp npc's have a directive that all jedi are enemies to the empire while rebels have no such direct at all.

This would also insure that most jedi would stay hidden out of the public eye. I would aslo say that wearing robes and lightsabers as well as your title should generate visibility in situations as ive described above. Then argument really could be. If you didnt want to be hunted you should have stayed off the terminals.

What do you think? Would this be a viable solution to this extremely contraversal problem?

The problem being lack of defences for the other trees and like has been stated, you must have armour break etc, leading to FOTM templates. Something the CU was to fix?

Doctors as a support group never had any defences and were dieing like flies post CU and so defences were awarded to them and I fail to see why defences can't be given to non denfenders. As stated get AB on an enhancer and he's dead very fast and crowd control from a copse is not easy to do!

That basically underlines the problem w/ SWG. In other MMORPGs you can't customize your template anywhere half as much as you can in SWG, which is SWGs Curse/Blessing. In SWG you can create very weak/ineffective templates (menhancer/mhealder...heheh j/k) or very powerful templates.

In doing so, you just dabble in Defenses, Healer, and some offense profession if you want to successfully survive in PVP/PVE. In WoW or other games, Stats are pretty linear w/ the exceptions of items and skill, the rest is just numbers, which is what the CU has seemed to address somewhat.

The CU did bring more template diversity, and now allows players w/out healerto heal for 1200 damage w/ a Stim and even more w/ some Ruby Biel. I'm pretty sure that if/when SWG2 arrives, it won't allow the template skill system it does now, because its very imbalancing and can NEVER be fixed unless you make all of the weapons/profession the same.

Thing is peeps what we really need to do is un-ignite our flamethrowers and hang them up for a while, quit the name calling and put our heads together to form a solution to the problem that we can all agree upon or mustly agree upon any way. There have been a 1000+ posts on this subject, and that is no exagerated number at all if you have been keeping up with it. Its obviously a big enough concern that something will probably be done about it, assuming ofcourse the devs even read the discussions in these forums. So really we have two options. Let the devs decide how to solve the issue, which they will probably just do anyway, or we can focus the same energy that we have while we have been bad mouthing each other and work together to formulate an idea that we can all agree upon. That way we all can have a decision in what will bring us all the most enjoyment for our buck, wether we are a bh, a jedi, a pre-cu'er, pre-publish 9'er, pro-pvp'er, anti-pve'er, and rpg'er, pro-pve'er, anti-pvp'er, pro cu'er, well think you get the picture. We really just need to quit fighting and work together so the devs dont come up with something that none of us will like. Perhaps if we work together to brain storm and come up with some good ideas, Tanks and Bac could present them to the devs if they feel so inclined.
