*Sigh* This is an idea that just doesn't make sense. Yes, it makes sense in the "ARGGG I WANT REVENGE" way, but not in the gameplay way. For example, why would one cybernetic part cost more to remove than another? It doesn't make any sense. Secondly, if it cost Investigation XP, that would make even LESS sense. It's like, "Oh, we won't charge you any money, but we're going to need to suck knowledge out of your head to pay for taking off this magic cybernetic."

Honestly, it doesn't make any sense at all. Besides, you should only get cybernetics as the current system puts it. Sure lightsabers can cut off arms and such, but if SWG = Movies, then one missed +block+ and you'd be dead. I'm sure if that was the case, there'd be a million threads whining about it.

Using your own logic Jedi shouldn't lose xp at all. The very reason i suggested Investigation xp is thats the BH grind vs the jedi grind. As you wouldnt lose a box hence no skill your analogy is not Apt. An investigation cost to BH death could be viewed as "getting back in the good graces" of the BH guild. You failed not to prove your worth you need to have some successes.

This is one of the best idea's I've heard regarding the BH/Jedi problem, and it wouldn't introduce any imbalance into the combatsystem. So many changes and problems arise due to lack of forsight, vision, or planning as seen with legacy fix's that solved issues in the past creating problems today that when fixed create new problems legacy code from the past or with new code from the present in some silly cycle that shouldn't ever have existed in the first place.

I can't see a single problem this would create from a long term perspective. Its a risk vs reward issue and balances the encounter so that Both participants are subject to an equal penalty and doesn't touch the whole combat engine.

cheers for an excellent idea.

That being said.... I think that since SWG has decided to implament cybernetic body parts into the game, then maybe us Jedi could have a bit of fun with it. I am in no way suggesting that the DEV's try to make the game graphic in nature so that body parts go flying, however I do have a suggestion, let me break it down.

:: Current Gameplay Facts ::

- When a BH kills a Jedi, the Jedi loses massive amounts of xp

- When a BH kills a Jedi, the BH makes tons of money

- When a BHtakes a Jedi mission,the BHcan bring friends to help

- When a Jedi gets attacked, NO ONE can help them at all

- When a Jedi actually kills a BH, they get nothing (except being on the BH-Terms some more)

Seems to me that Jedi lose no matter how you look at it, in a BH encounter. If the BH wins, he gets paid and the Jedi gets the shaft. If the Jedi wins, he gets... well... you guessed it....more BH's coming for him...

Bottom line is this. Jedi stand to lose everything in these encounters, and BH's stand to lose absolutely nothing but a trip to the nearest cloner.

:: My Cybernetic Suggestion ::

- The game already has cybernetics set up, and coded into the game, to pop onto your body randomly at different cloners if you did not clone before you died. You might have seen some of your friends walking about Dathomire with silver legs a few times

- I say this... If a BH is defeated in combat by a Jedi, then to simulate the body parts that would normally most certainly hit the floor, make them clone automatically with a Cybernetic Body part at random. but not just any old generic Cybernetic... one with negative stats too it... ex... -15 terrain neg, or -10 melee def, etc etc

- These cybernetics can still be removed by a Cyber-Doc in the Hospital anytime they wish, BUT... it would cost the BH whatever his Jedi mission was worth that he failed. So if a BH took a 225k mission on a Jedi and dies, then it will cost him 225k to remove his horrible new body part

I just think it's high time that BH's actually had some risk in going up against an opponent such as the Jedi. You have all heard BH's say.... " Oh I only do it for the money".... "Nuthing personal".... ok fine, lets hit them where it counts, in thier pocket book

---May The Force Be With You---

I agree wholeheartedly with everything except the cost for fixing the cyber...it should be half of the bounty, not the whole thing....better yet, a set ammount. Say 100k. This way the BH doesn't just go after the younglings but after the complete templates too.

I do think there needs to be SOME reasonable explanation why the cost of a cybernetic part would be different for this removal than the removal of any other part.

Actually, I could support this, sounds like fun. Though, the removal fee is kinda high and would encourage bottom feeding even more. Now, the usual fee or 10% of the bounty amount or so could work.

However, the current mechanic does not allow this to happen if you are cloned, and on a regular planet. So, in order to fit it to the current game mechanic that restriction might have to be put in as well.

no the fee looks just about right...see u bh cant get everything u want so go back to the bh fourms and rot plz.....

I can't believe Tanks is on board with this. What a joke. Seriously man, I thought you were doing so well. That Jedi character going to your head again?

Anyways, to the above poster, it's such a surprise to see that you agree with penalizing BH unneccessarily, especially since you told us to rot. You are clearly a level headed person with the best interest of balance, fairness, and community at heart.

Your second paragraph completely contradicts the first. "Clearly you support balance and fairness! SARCASM LOL." "Tanks why are you on board with this idea, even though you suggested something infinitely less painful for BH than what was suggested originally!"

Guess what 10% of 226,000 is? 26,000. Guess how much you make, at a minimum, gang banging the 'trails of kashyyk? 40,000. Guess how much you get killing a "difficulty" 89 NPC bounty with investigation I? 25,000 give or take. As I stated in my post above, it defeats our purpose if our risk outweighs the reward. However 10% far from outweighs it. Get over your self absorbed "I want an I win button and I want it now" self.

I totally like it. Not like the Jedi actually gets anything from winning, but at least the BH looses something. They can choose to live with it, or pay to have it removed. Better yet, make it something that only a player can removed. I will have my Jedi's alt cross train into that job!

Also make Master BH full PVP like Jedi Knights are. If a jedi has to go full PVP at some point in his/her career then so should the people that hunt them. Either that or give us an opition to to turn it off and on like special forces.

Spin groups have made jedi grinding nothing more than a semi afk grind. Even if a bh kills you it is only a minor inconvenience due to the fact there are so many spin groups goin on on nearly every planet. Even if you get set back in the hole 450k its not a big loss only a minor setback in your already long grind. I've seen new jedi finish their templates in a matter of weeks just by setting in a spin group nearly all day long. And vis is easily avoidible now that you cant get vis from your group, so a smart grinder wouldnt be at risk for a BH neways.
