Even though it looks like a huge troll post I decided to unlock it after reading through and noticing that there is still a small amount of constructive dialogue going on.

All Court is saying is that if some of the risks are brought back, then you could justify giving Jedi their power back. Sowe aren't like a normal profession anymore.

Hm.

So basicly

1. Make me rare and powerful
2. Bring back sabertef
3. Bring back pve xploss and increase it to x3
4. Increase the bountyhunter penalties
5. Implement skilloss
6. Do not give any powers to pve jedi
7. Let me stay in the Galactic Civil War so I can show everybody how powerful I am

Fixes... none...
Improvements... none...

And you post this on the jedi forum?

Besides that, I also have an annoying sig that looks like part of the post.

first thing that comes to mind is that its in regards to jedi

Someone else put you on the terminal. I accepted the mission. I'm obligated to do everything I can to fulfill that contract. My ONLY obligation when I'm hunting, is to clone you by any means necessary. ____________________________________________________

Your missing the point. Hes basically saying that if you want the power back that the jedi profession used to have then you should also have some of the risk they used to have as well. With great power comes great risk.

The reason that Jedi will not return to power, is that there are too many of of us with full templates running around.

I like the fact that everyone has their shot at being a Jedi, but being a full template padi or a ranked Knight shouldn't just be only at the risk of xp loss, if you have xp debt you should be forced to repay it before you can continue. Only the best of the Jedi, those with real skills who are able to takereal risks head on and overcome them, should be able to wield the power that the title Jedi Knight deserves. If you are not up to the task of facing the risks of being a Jedi during this time period, you should be doomed to sit at the bottom rungs of the Jedi ladder. I'm a post-CU Jedi with an incomplete template and a crap saber. I would rather face a real risk that will test me, and if I'm worthy reward me, than to know that through endless grinding I can put a few meaningless words above my avatar's head, while my altscan make short work of my prized Jedi. Would I be worthy? I don't know. With the game as it is, I will never know.

Fix the bugs and exploits. Bring back box loss. Cull the weak masses. Elevate the few who are truely strong to a true Alpha status.

No wonder the game is loosing more and more people that love Star Wars, when we have devsthat don'tknow how one of the most iconic classes in Star Wars history is supposed to be powered.

We are not Jedi Masters.

We are untrained forcedabblers and refugees, hunted by a great military superpower who would stomp us to mere goo if we showed ourselves.

Jedi during the Rebellion Era where never powerful in the roleplayinggame, and for a very good reason. We are a mere shadow of what the Jedi council once where.

Well said.

According to the Movies, there are 2 Jedi, 2 Sith and 1 Force Senstive at this time.

According to the EU, there are 5 Jedi, 2 Sith, Nightsisters, some Dark Adepts and about 20-30 barely Force Sensitve. Those FS people also were scared to death to use their powers and NONE had a lightsaber or even though of calling themsleves a Jedi.

Arguing normal power for a Jedi, based on a Cannonical discussion, has no bases in Star Wars lore.

BTW, what you described from the RPG are FORCE SENSITVES-not Jedi.

At this point, the game is just a jumble of star wars. I would not be surprised if I saw Jabba the Hutt weilding a lightsaber while wearing modified storm trooper armor, flying a jet pack, riding in the Falcon, all while fighting hordes of Bothan ninjas, trying to seduce a hawt stateswoman, and confronting his dark jedi father.

And STILL you'd have people claining that was GOOD for the game lol

I support removing combat classes if keeping them in results in a "dumbed down" game
- I support Devs that know how to design a game

VickLocowrote:

But the truth is this....Jedi is a profession of the masses now....and its heading to the masses....the days of Jedi rarity are gone. So stop trying to kick us back to the Dark Ages. The Devs just need to state that Jedi will be as common as Combat medics soon and start writing content to fulfill all the people that will be playing this template

I tried to tell you Court. For once I am actually sad that I was right....A sad day for those of us that put so much time into our Jedi. Oh well..out with the old and in with the new.
