Thread: How can be a FRS pvp based balanced when there are so many template power differences? TEST INSIDE

Hello there. My Jedi temp is Mpower MSaber 4x4x Healer.
Yesterday i have practiced some PvP with a friend (Mdefender Msaber 3xxx Heal xxx2 Enhncer).
My strategy was to weaken his defenses then land my attacks.
So i used Armor Break, Force Weaken, Force Sap, Mind Blast.......trying to keep this states on him while healing i then proceededto KD him and use Choke/Lighting with Saber Hits.
My saber is 540-636 2handed, his 589-696 Double bladed.
I dont have accuracy/speed mods. He have +15 Accuracy +15 Speed.
I was not using foods, he was using health/action regen foods.
Well we did many fights with2different conditions:
1. Me attacking, he only healing.
2. Both of us attacking.
Results 1.
1st fight, i was not able to get him under 10% of his health pool.
2nd fight, incapped him thanks to a KD that stickied for long
3rd fight same as n1
4th fight same as n1
Results 2.
1st fight,i got incapped after a KD
2nd fight, we both abandoned since it was lasting too long (8min++)
3rd fight,Igot incapped after a 6 min due to lack of force (cant stand up healing)
4th fight, same as 2nd fight...but this time my friend declared he not incapped me only because of the triple incap thing.
------During these kind of fight (n2) i was not able to get my friend under 1/3 of ham (since i had to heal)

In the end, it seems that personal choices regarding templates have high influence on pvp.
I know he had better saber and was using food, but i dont think this is the only reason i could not beat my bud.
Well you may say i do suck but hey....at least tell me how to improve my skill! 
Should i give up my passion for Mpowers to be better pvper and be ranked in the FRS?
I think not. This is why i hope the new FRS will be quest based AND pvp extra (meaning that if you want to get FRS faster you can PvP).
PvP shouldt be mandatory IMHO; i really like to do PvP and think its a lot of fun....but i think also that players must be allowed to achieve same results (FRS ranks) in different ways...so they can choose the one they like the most.

given the group-centric approach of the CU, i would assume there will be some group-pvp dynamic part of the FRS

imo it should be partly pvp, partly pve, and partly puzzle based

have to agree with trajen2, it will be all pvp based with groups probably giving u alittle more frs or something like that. wouldn't be surprised if u get a major frs boost in a full group and almost nothing by yourself. With SOE and the direction they are taking (still trying to work out that direction) who really know.
But if it had some quest based stuff in it, it would probably be go kill this, escort that, etc, etc, just like jabba's, imp/reb park etc.

Didn't say i was asking forwas a pve frs, simply saying that if they did do something like it, it would be boring as hell just like all the theme parks are. This Jedi won't be entering the frs since i have no interest in pvp, except when a bh comes to say hi, thoughi'm shoving himinthe deep freeze for the next however long with snares and what not.

LOL i did not meant to petiotion.
I did not talked about Jedi XP.
My idea is qest lik...kill this target, talk to this one, take this to that location etc etc. And as reward you get FRS XP and maby some nice robe/crystal. Something like WoW questing system i dunno.

i didnt mean YOU ... i meant anyone.... you know how it goes...SOE is like an evil genie...they may grant your wish but it wont be quite what you expected...

i woudnt mind how it used to b either... then like that ppl will rly see how the frs was and will stop thinking they will be jedi masters
