I have to disagree

Seeing this many Jedi in Star Wars with Luke just having defeated the Death Star makes no sense. If they made it around KOTOR then it would have made sense(then they would have to take out othe Imperials...and then not a whole lot of people would have played it).

Seeing 80% of every server as Jedi is not my idea of a mmorpg. That's like running around a fantasy mmorpg and seeing 80% of every server holding nothing but Paladins....and 15% who aren't Paladins trying to grind to become a Paladin. The other 5% are maic users, priests, etc

That's what it feels like.

Also, those "1000 Jedi hiding out in the remote outreaches of space" are actually in front of every major StarPort showing off their glowsticks dueling each other.

Just my Opinion On a Made up world anyway. Here ya go

There’s something about the Star Wars mythology that makes people take ownership of it. Everyone’s an expert.

With that being said I’ll give it my 2 cents.

It’s true that the first movies hinted to there only being 3 JEDI left after the purge. With Luke being the last. Return of the JEDI sounds like a title that says "Luke will return the JEDI to the galaxy". This would lead a purest to believe that there should only be one in SWG.

I believe they would be wrong and here’s why.

In the books Luke is told by Ben that he’s not the last of the old JEDI but the First of the New. Sure this isn’t cannon but it was written and Lucas approved way before EP1.

Ok so you want canon.... EP3 gives us out best example of "others". Ben and Yoda head back into the Temple to warn the JEDI not to return...this alone is reason enough to believe that there are others.

But the biggest reason is just Pure Logic..... In a galaxy with billions of planets and trillions of people, 500 JEDI could easily hide indefinitely.

We must be weary of what the Movie characters said. We can not assume that what they said is (Star wars) Law. On many occasions they where wrong.

Vader "Obi-Won has thought you well". (Remember it was Yoda that thought him...not Ben)

Ben "That boy is our only hope" (Yoda set him straight)

And the biggest one;

Yoda

"If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny" (Anakin Skywalker proved him wrong)

PS: There is however Only Two Sith. This is not only explained in both the Moviesandbooks But it's explained in great detail. Other then the wanna be Sith Thugs in the village I fail to see any way of roleplaying this.

Yeah.. How many in this game?? lol

This game Does not follow the time-line, Book, movies or anything.. Its agame. In a role play way.. Jedi SHOULD be hidden, But it wont happen in this game.. (maybe if they keep increasing the powers of Bounty hunters lol)

Swg ...........................$50
JTL/ROTW .............................$25
Obi-wan trials............ $30
Monthly FEE ...............$14.99 x 30+ months x 3 accounts
SWG VETERAN ......... Priceless (too bad SOE doesnt realize that)

how many? who knows, since we don't have any hard numbers. but lets say at least 1000 per server. now if we actually had an entire galaxy (billions upon billions of stars), you would never find these players, unless they wanted to be found. now lets take the lore of the jedi, most people wouldn't believe it even if they did saw one, let alone know what the hell they were.

So basically since the 1000 jedi all turned up on a handful of planets wouldn't they kinda stand out? The emperor and vader themselves are in the area shouldn't they notice all the flashlight waving imbecile and ordered immediate action as jedi are a threat to their power? shouldn't the death star project be stepped up right about now and those handful of planets destroyed?

your idea that maybe 500 to 1000 jedi survived throughout the galaxy might be pluasable but they all wouldn't hang out on the same 10 planets so for the game jedi are kinda disruptive to the star wars feel.

This would make sense if the Jedi were hiding.

yoda said"Luke after i die, last jedi you will be" ok what is a jedi? a jedi was anybody who was a force user in yodas cult.

it would be kind of like this. there are catholics, there are baptists, there are methodists, there are lutheran, there are southern baptists, and sorry if i did or did not leave you out.

there are also satanists, and non believers.

jedi does not account for the majority of force users, just a small cult/temple of them , in a huge galaxy.

there are sith, of which there are only 2. palpatine , and vader.

then there are many force users, many many many of them. there are the dark jedi, who were empire friendly, many who had dropped from yodas cult, or were never in it.

there were nightsisters, representing both clans.

heck there were even force using dwarves, wookies, and many other races. there were force users everywhere. this game alone represents/shows that. the books do, and the movies do also. your just seeing what you want to see.

yoda said"Luke when i die, last jedi you will be." ok true. he did not say , "last force user you will be" because there will still be 2 sith, dark jedi, nightsisters, force using races everyhere, and yes, a couple of force using wookies. so to be true to the timeline, which i still dot know what it is, any you come up with i can prove you wrong, you know this is true.

true to timeline" very few if any Jedi= light jedi, part of yodas lukes, little cult.

dark jedi= many

nightsisters=many

forceusers=many

other races of force users=many. glad i could clear this up for you.

yea , there was very little in numbers left in the yoda"light jedi empire hostile" cult of force users. but there was enough left i n the galaxy to turn off the home beacon. as far as all the rest of the force users, wether light or dark, or other, there was plenty, read the books.

Even if you moved the timeline to Empires Strikes Back or Return of the jedi, there are only 2 Jedi

Also, to the other poster who tried to say there are thousands of force sensitive people then so be it. There is a difference between a FS person in hiding for fear of his life and a FS person who happens to have every Jedi power and is offically a Padawan (as in SWG) running aruond activating their glowsticks in front of people hoping to get a ooo and a aaaah.

Also, there weren't as many Dark Jedi as you suggest. Even the EU explained that Darth Vador destroyed even "dark Jedi" as many of them wanted his place of power. The only person who was being trained in the dark arts (with the Emperor's Sanction) was Mara Jade in the EU.
