Oh, btw. We need a pvp server, and give you bunch your own forum where you can whine and argue who's the most powerful.

Don't worry...this won't change much...and it would be brought to the proverbial PvE forums anyway.

Like I said, I'm an ex-nightly PvPer...and the "uberness" is part of the reason why. Plus, I've come to realize I enjoy PvP far more in First Person Shooter games...it's more...authentic. And no, I did not repeatedly get "pwned' in SWG...I just got very tired of the same old scene. Not to mention the GCW being dead...but that's besides the point.

At any rate, over in Matrix Online, with the "hostile" servers, the people who played on thosewere "better" at MxO and at real life in general because theywere PvPers. Apparently not being a "carebear" elevates your status in both the digital world and the real one.

I spent alot of time in a Quake 3 mod called "Navy Seals" that my bf played at the time.

We also played alot of Street Fighter II and Tekken 3 back in the days when they where popular. But now I just want some quality time with my friends instead of trying to defeat other players in the best possible template I can make.

I can pvp for fun, but pvp in SWG is not fun. There's nothing to support what I feel makes pvp fun.

I feel no purpose in the act of proving myself "better" than someone else, especially someone I dont know, when there are no prices to be won that can help me in my real-life. AllI want to do in-game really is to explore as much as possible, using badges as a track of "what I have done" and not.

I want to be better at Healing, simply so I can add to my group, help my group completing the missions/quests I begin. I look more to be known as a good pve player that other players may find useful, than building a title as a pvp player.

Some people have a diminished real-life ego that they have to build up, and they do so in a computer game. If they can be good at something, it makes them feel better, even if it's all an illusion, since in an rpg it's all about numbers. A good template and good equipment help more than skill in the long run.

Naturally they hate people who tells them the truth: that their "victories" in a rpg proves nothing... since rpg-pvp have so little to do with skill, and people who look for "balance" rather than feeding their already superpowerful template, are labeled as "carebears".

Call me carebear if you like, but I do feel sorry for some of them.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Jesus are you people serious?, i will be the first to admit the old system had its problems, but pve frs ( I cant stop laughing here ) apart from the fact you will end up with a server full of jedi masters, and then what, then whats your endgame ?

The frs has got to be primarily pvp based, thats just how it is, but no killing bh's this time, and it has to be well designed, perhaps add more levels in the system as well.

but would make the majority of the game's players who do not pvp very happy.

pvp = minority.

I would rather see the game deleted than to ever see a PvE frs.

You can't give me a reason why it HAS to be PvP based.

Nor can you give me one reason as to why it CANNOT be PvE based.

The only valid point you make, and I agree fully, is that it has to be well designed.

If they set the FRS out soyou do not get xp for killing bounty hunters and you do not get xp for killing padawans and only get xp for killing knights + it will be fine, even add in a minus cap on frs that if you stay at you get a skill removed from your template after a week or two...

This is not about me. It's about supporting 80-90% of the players instead of a small minority.

80-90% of them will quit when they get bored of only pveing

<highlight the stuff that I liked in Orange >

Well spoken, and pretty similar to how I feel. Yes, I could PvP nightly here...I used to. I simply choose not to because MMO PvP is "weak" PvP as far as I'm concerned. I'll jump into PvP occasionally, have my fun, and then leave...and naturally I enjoy killing Bounty Hunters, although the uber-dudes say that BH'aare not PvP...oh well, I guess they'reright.

She is fairly accurate. PvPers, naturally, all tend to congregate together in-game (since they kind of have to). Any one major battle in Theed, we'll say, is naturally going to give the impression that there are a lot of PvPers, when in fact there are still plenty of people on other planets who are NOT PvPing. Furthermore, PvPers tend to use the forums a lot more than non-PvPers I noticed...most likely in the hopes of getting information on how to improve their game...so that illusion of a PvP "majority" is created again. In my personal experience, I know more people who PvE than those who PvP, and this coming from an ex-nightly PvPer.

As I said above, I would ideally like a PvE quest-based FRS to be combined with some type of PvP one. I don't see why it can't be both. Maybe just make it so that a PvE Jedi can still advance in levels, but someone who is going beyond and fighting in PvP will be more powerful (or whatever they plan on "rewarding" us with).

I was considering quitting, but then Aurilia came, and when I was done RotW came. I am almost done with RotW and now came ToOW. I also made a Master Pilot.

I finished most of RotW the2 weeks it was out didnt enjoy it that much, this new expansion looks ALOT better really hope it is. I do wish they would add a FRS for both PvE and PvP and/or a mix of bothI think we would all find that fun .
