Hey guys,
So I've been having such a tough time picking a final template. I was just thinking today - could a total dabbler template be viable - I'm sure it would probably be fun to play - but could it really work. I'm mostly interested in being a decent PvE Jedi and not as concerned with PvP. So here goes my idea:
LS: 2 4 2 2
Defender: 0 0 4 4
Healer: 2 0 0 0 0
Enhancer: 2 0 0 4
Powers: 0 4 0 2
So this leaves you with 4825 Force Power and 42 as a Regen rate. Obviously a limitation is force power and the regen rate - and this template will probably not be so good in PvP.
Anyone tried a template like this? Could it work for PvE? Thanks for any tips/advice.

No damage output, piss-poor defences and crap healing. But you have cloak so you can dissapear if you get in trouble, i suggest you start learning how to use it =)

LS: 2 4 2 2 =sh!t for dps.. and only going 2422 is a waste of SP...
Defender: 0 0 4 4 = YAY i can saber block more! now i have enough saber block to be a MLS>..not!!...no inate armor bud..
Healer: 2 0 0 0 0 = lolz... 1 to many 0's.. and your infusion=crap
Enhancer: 2 0 0 4= w000t i can regen force that i dont need beacuse nothing in this temp needs it!!
Powers: 0 4 0 2= yay cloak...umm no...
So this leaves you with 4825 Force Power and 42 as a Regen rate. Obviously a limitation is force power and the regen rate - and this template will probably not be so good in PvP.

0404 ls 4040 healer 4004 enhancer 0400 powers 4040 defender
with full dabbler you get 9 trees ohk ?
master boxes give 500 force
with double mastery you can get 10 trees
4444 lightsaberM 4444 enhancerM 4040 healer

full dabbler works but you have 10 lower force regen rate and like 1k less force
his template is like 20 less force regen then a double mastery

0002 powers is worthless with that little powers
powers isnt that effective without master
at master you still miss with 0402
you are less then half of the powers tree
and the master box gives bonus too doesnt it ?

Sorry for all the asses on starsider (yes that means you :leia
...
So the first thing I have to say, is if you are going for power, follow the pack cause they are usually right to a large extent. Jedi is too much of a grind to dabble around and not be happy, but if you don't use your respec, dabble away and you get one chance to fix it. My template is Master Defender, 0404 Lighsabers, 3004 Enhancer, 4020 Healer. Since force regen sucks, and action regen is no biggie, then I would eventually die to a non-jedi with the ole Combat medic line, but not until all my force ran out, twice (I have a holo 8). It does not matter much, cause I don't want to give the bounty hunter the satisfaction of even killing them if I can get away with running around the planet for a few hours 8).
As for other jedi, you get to choose to battle them so don't sweat it. If I do battle them in PvP it is usually a big group and we only see them a few seconds, and I take the time to force drain them. That will piss them off more than anything.
My best advice is go with your 'dream template' If you love shooting lighting or disappearing, do it. If you want to be a sabers master, that is easy. I like being a friggin rock that is the last to die (or the first, if there are super big bad guys) I once took 60K of damage from an ancient krayt while my group killed it (slowly, unfortunately) and lived to tell the tale. The biggest problem with the Jedi/BH and PVP discussions is while everything is being rebalanced there, it is throwing off the balance of us doing PvE which I spend 98% of my time doing anyway. I don't mind being weaker against a class, if I am a hero in the galaxy. I don't like the idea that I can not personally take out a super battle droid in less than 5 minutes, when in the movie this is modeled after it takes hundreds to catch a few Jedi. I call that a much bigger loss of our fake 'reality' than seeing a few Jedi running around and every 3rd title says Master Bounty Hunter.
So, do what you think will be fun, cause it is likely your last grind and you will be stuck with it, unless you want to do it over again. If you will kick yourself for not having a killer template, don't do it. If you will miss not being able to cloak (which I sometimes do) then go that way.
Good Luck!
