Thread: Mark of Intellect (badge) Quest & Symbol of Heroism
I’ve been trolling many posts on many web sites to collect all the information I could. I present it here for you now.
DISCLAIMER
For those of you who are not familiar, there is a quest that people are calling the Four Acts. Many believe these interrelated quests are part of the process to unlock the Force Sensitive character slot. Believe what you will. What I present here is what I consider to be very solid, very reliable information backed up by screen shots from posts, personal experience and/or logical thinking with little conjecture.
OVERVIEW
There are four quests: Act of Honor, Act of Heroism, Act of Courage and Act of Altruism. Each of these quests will earn you a badge. Completing all four of these quests will earn you the Symbol of Heroism. Currently, there are only a few people on various servers that have finished the Act of Intellect. From what I can tell, nobody has completed any of the other three acts nor does anybody have solid information about any of the other three acts.
START [optional]
The quest generally starts by meeting a unique hermit on Tatooine. The hermit apparently is a random spawn, but these three screen shot links verify that he has spawned in the same location (roughly 2180, -150) several times.

The hermit can be different races for different people. He goes on to talk about finding heroic people to help the galaxy. You can read his speech here: http://home.comcast.net/~johnsmallberries/SS2.htm. Meeting the hermit first is not required for the Four Acts. He is required to get the Symbol of Heroism, as he specifically states that you should return to him for it.
ACT OF INTELLECT
This quest involves finding a random spawn camp on Tatooine. In the camp are several smugglers and one bounty hunter. The smuggler names and positions in the camp and the bounty hunter’s name will always be random. Do not rely on screenshots provided in this summary for the answer. Rely on the SPOILERS section below. None of them are aggro, but they are attackable. I highly recommend approaching them and using the TAB key to select them and /conv command to start a conversation. This will prevent accidental attacks and radial menu lag attacks. Talk to the bounty hunter first. He is in the camp to arrest one of the smugglers, but doesn’t know which one. Help him find his mark and you are rewarded a badge called the Mark of Intellect. Talk to each of the smugglers. This quest boils down to a logic puzzle. The smugglers claim that some people are telling the truth and some people are lying. Figure out who the mark is (or see the SPOILERS section below) and then talk to the bounty hunter again. Tell him which smuggler to arrest and you’re done. The camp will despawn shortly after.
Finding the camp is the hardest part of this quest. Here’s what I did.
Go to Tatooine.
Create waypoints (using /waypoint x y) for these coordinates. These are coordinates that make a general circle around the area where many screenshots and personal experience have show the camp to appear.
4599 -1065
4029 -988
4453 -523
4062 -1340
4337 -1400
4476 -628
4723 -542
4826 -619
Log in several times a day for a few days and cruise these waypoints.
Use the overhead map (Control+M) to help you see the little tent that is part of the camp.
I found the camp at 4932 -750 after three or four hours of searching spread over two days. The overhead map showed the tent initially, but as I approached it disappeared. The camp was still physically in the game world though. I approached the tent, solved the riddle and then the camp disappeared. On my way back to the nearest star port (Mos Eisley), the camp spawned again at 4903 -1008 (mere meters away). This was literally like 2 minutes after I completed my quest. There was another player at that camp when I visited it. He either had extremely good timing and luck or it is possible that multiple camps can exist at the same time. In game, it was dusk on Tatooine. Not sure if that plays a role. In real life, it was roughly 9 a.m. PST on 9/5/03.
ACTS OF COURAGE, HONOR, ALTRUISM
Nobody has found solid information about any of these quests. I do not care to post the speculation.

ACT OF INTELLECT
Regardless of what the smuggler’s names are or their positions in the camp, the answer is always the smuggler that says that two other smugglers are lying.
I have it, anyone who wishes to see it on Ahazi may contact me in game.
Obide.
And yes I've spoke with the Hermit and I spent 3 days on the sands of tatooine looking for this spawn. Needless to say, it takes a whole lotta patience.
Already answered in the post.
"Meeting the hermit first is not required for the Four Acts."
