Hey all! Is there anything known about the current issues with tuning, yes I know it's random. But I have tuned several quality crystals in the last few days and I've recieved 3 -0 fc, -1 FC , and two -2 FC. What is going on!? I hope that if this is a bug it gets fixed, I'm afraid to tune crystals and I need a decent one very soon!

Its not a bug ... the actuall critter that dropped the crystal matters in what it will tune. like the other day a close friend of mine ( in RL) bought 3 premiums , from a guy that hunts DJM on dant. So 2 of them tunned almost perfect ( one was 50 -9 , second 49 -9) while the third was a 48 -8. On the other hand i have tuned a premium i looted from a tusken and it turned up a -2 fc.
Right now im using a college terminal , so i dont have the list with my tunnings , but when i get home ill post it.

I tuned a premium crystal dropped off an elder tonight that went -5 fc 18 min/max =/

I don't know that is completely true. I tuned a fair from a Janta once for 42 -8. But, I think I will look into the DJM thing. I need some new crystals soon as well

Thanks for the replies, I'd really like to know what is going on, or maybe a Dev could give us a little more info on where to hunt them. I'm really going to be trouble soon. See I looted my -7fc off a Janta or Monk, when I was doing massive xp for the Village and then I get qualites from NS and they are crap tunes. So I hope something is worked out to be more effective on tuning. Sure we have crystals everywhere, but they give no value if they are -0 fc

There are bugs in the current tuning system!

I actually tuned apoor crystal the other day and got 16/16 -8. That was better or as good as most of the good crystals I had tuned. Also as far as what drops them I have had better results on preals that came from juvenile krayts than the same quality that came from other dragons. I can't really say about the crystals because I just put them all in one big stack before I got jedi so I have no clue what came from night sisters and what came from jantas.

It is random, but generally speaking if you stick to premiums you will not usually get things that are complete crap

Premium Pearls give much better results than Premium Crystals
Tuned 9 Premium Pearls
-9 40
-9 40
-9 42
-9 46
-6 35
-7 40
-9 22
-9 44
-5 42
Premium Crystals
-3 20
-5 35
Only problem with Pearls is that they are to hard to aquire

I tuned a quality and a good one: 34/34 -7FC and 34/34 -2FC... I figured I was pushing my luck so I stoped - will sell the other 10 lol

I only bother tuning premiums i get from elders, and generally I am happy with the results

Does anyone postively know they are going to change the tuning system. I have about 100+ clear crystals and I am finishing up the FS quests in the village. I wouldn't want to tune them all and then have them change the way it works a few days later.
