Thread: Why should we get more/better rewards than anyone else?

Quite honestly the whole rewards thing is ridiculous in the first place. If you want to make an argument over who deserves an award or not, how about those Jedi, like myself, who under a very old system took longer to grind out the profession with infinite buginess and exploits? Why should we receive the same reward that Joe Jedi gets who just unlocked last week?

Out of all fairness to everyone, Jedi or not, the only reward any veteran should get is the stupid title. You have to draw the line in the sand somewhere, and well, just like this game change, SOE screwed up this reward line too. I know I'll get flamed for mentioning this, but I could care less.

I think its too early to pass judgement on the matter. All they've told us is that we'll get improved sabers and robes. We don't yet know how "improved" it'll be, or how much it will matter. It may turn out to be such a slight advantage that its practically non-significant.

From the accounts I've read so far from the folks who have gotten to play it, it sounds to me like combat will depend greatly on twitch skills, and the advantage of a slightly more powerful weapon or slightly better strength/agility may be negligable.

As you know Im one of the *cough* old guy *cough* Vet Jedi. lol

I think the fact that we get another character to play on the same server is a failry large reward in and of itself for existing Jedi.

I know that we already have that now. but its failry significant for this simple reason :

We will be the only ones through the remainder of the game it seems to be that way.

I dont care about titles, I never wore mine since they took all the pre 9 ones away anyways

I think alot of people are just hurt after having put so much effort into something that means soo little....

Us old old Jedi already realized that many manymoons ago

Actually that is my whole point. The fact of the matter is we are getting something at all, and other professions are not. Also consider that the longevity of some Jedi compared to others is huge (time-wise), yet everyone gets the same reward as if they're equal. Well I think to truely be equal, we should be on par with everyone else.

Exactly Insanus (where have you been, haven't seen you around lately). I can't count how many times on this and various other boards I've stood by the notion that your reward as Jedi is to play a Jedi (as well as that nice second character slot). It isn't (and should never have been) to be more powerful and a pwn-machine against other people. Because realistically an alpha class is just a bad idea all around.

And now that we are *finally* a starting class along with everyone else, SOE goes and pushes a little more Jedi hatred toward us by announcing we get special rewards and no one else gets them. Yikes.

all the reward system is for is to try and convince current jedi to continue playing the game with promises of being better then others that come along later. nuff said.

Maybe because we grinded way longer and worked much harder for it? We should at least get something in return for all the work put into finishing jedi. Jeez why are poeple so freakin stupid?

I hope also that this is the LAST thing we get in terms of favortism.

There will be a huge enough backlash later when and if weremain the only ones with a second slot.

I look forward to no alpha class.

The true Jedi wanted to be Jedi for the rp aspects, as well as coolness factor.

Unfortunately the alpha status made almost anyone interested in pvp have to get it in order to be dominant.(or at least most felt that way). If thats not the case anymore, I think it will breathe a new life back into this game.

As for where I have been, I haven't been on SWGbut 3 times in 3 months.

Bored being a reason, but an extensive school schedule being another.

Good to see you'll be sticking around also tho

In a sense I'd agree.

You are a nasty piece of bantha dung . You address your post like you dont feel like anyone deserves a vet bonus, and then go on to say how you feel you should get more than a post patch 9 jedi . Let me tell you something , I unlocked jedi pre patch 9 and another jedi post patch 9 , so I know what both were like. And they were two wotally different grinds. And furthermore you got to where comp armor plus leveling lightsaber was as easy as acquiring novice pistoleer, so dont go on ranting how you deserve more than a post 9 jedi . We all worked are balls off to be where we are , in one patch or another it doesnt matter.

And yes I feel all jedi deserve something since they are making jedi accesible and easy to obtain for all new coming players. And yes I feel the reward should be even not i kille dmore rancors than you, or I spinned more pickets than bob, mastered more professions than the wookiee. **edit** and stop acting like you are so high class because you were a pre patch 9 jedi . woopdee dooo so wasmyself . ! !

Ninja please!

First off, I didn't say I did deserve more than a Post 9 Jedi. I don't want to bash, but it is quite obvious your reading comprehension skills are severely lacking. If you read closely what I posted, you should be able to understand then that I am not advocating *one bit* that I want a bigger/better/uber reward than any other Jedi who came before me. I am saying that Jedi as a whole should NOT be getting any reward over anyone else.

I'm sorry, but Jedi was not "hard work". I ground out a Jedi before Publish 9, a Jedi after publish 9, another Jedi after the CU, helped my wife with her Jedi grind, a friend with his, and took another character to Jedi Padawan. Not to mention the many other Jedi who I did not play directly but helped grind. So please, don't tell me about "hard work" and how you (Jedi) deserve a reward other those that did not choose to become a Jedi.

The only difference between yourself and someone who has played as long or longer than you is that they choose a different grind. Playing the game. Maybe they wanted to eventually become a Jedi, maybe not. That does not mean that the $15 a month they paid is any less valuable than yours.

I don't care about anything but getting possibly a FRS robe (hell take off all the stat mods on it) so we can have something that is visually pleasing....
