I think we should still have a force bar but let it regen a whole lot faster.

We have a force bar to further reduce our effectiveness in combat.
Any other answer is wrong. LOL
It provides a check and a balance to jedi powers not viable by just an action/mind bar.
E.g. what the above poster said

i think the old system was better...where everything just came out of the force bar..kind of seperated us from the rest of the professions.....but with the CU i can see why they added action and mind costs to stuff.....i agree though force regen should be higher or they should lower the force costs
Ceasar
Jedi Knight
Sunrunner
I think force is fine the way it is , although i think meditate and channel should regen force a little faster.
Bottom line for you though is just cause you lost in a pvp match doesnt mean jedi should have to be revamped. Jedi are not supposed to win every battle. Comparing your wins to losses you should have way more wins , because not every swordsman/doc , CM/BH , etc can beat a full-temp jedi. it takes a good pvp'r and perhaps the guy who mopped the floor with you was a good pvp'r ?
Think about it , other professions have to have a chance in beating a a jedi or there would be no reason not to be anything other than jedi. Someone who prefers a vibro lance or PH over a lightsaber should be able to weild their weapon with great ability just as a jedi with their saber.
Maybe he was a good pvp'r, maybe he had uber modes, maybe you just had a bad bout with him , whatver the reason , just cause you lost doesnt mean jedi are weak, nor does it mean we need any more changing at this point. --Jakatta

Ok let me just say this I've had my jedi for a long time I was about a box away from full template pre-cu. I had nearly perfect pearls and I like to pvp. So a couple weeks ago I finally grind my alt. Get 75% AB slice in 6400 resist RIS. Template was master fencer, tka 0400, doc 4004, swords 0034. I pvp'd a pre-cu jedi who was a knight already better saber than mine, whooped him and I hadnt fought a single person yet. It doesnt take an experienced person to beat you just a rich person.

But the force bar problem applies to PvE as well, you can grind, but the Jedi is the only one to say "Hold on, gotta channel guys". I think its not the fact that you can or not win everybattle, but more like the force bar is a handicap for Jedi right now. With the correct stacking of foods and a low SAC weapon, any non-jedi combat template can fight with no restrictions at all, while Jedi have to sit and channel/meditate for a while.
