You're banging a drum that our Correspondant can't hear I'm afraid.
Maybe if BHs had counters for sabre throw, dervish, armor break (ok, they do on that front and look at how controversial that is), power attack... Imagine if you are a MLS, and a BH (or anyone else) could counter pretty much all of your moves, use them to refill their HAM and/or reflect the damage you deal out right back at you. Sounds horrible doesn't it. Welcome to our World, the World of MPowers being negated by a set of novice skills practically every single Jedi has.
Those are not Novice skills (except for Force Absorb). Powers would be a lot better off if it lost the warmup timers for the moves, because Powers is a ranged kiting profession in terms of 1 vs 1. It either needs a very effective root to keep opponents at bay or be able to use attacks while moving.
But to be honest, my current template is LS 0400 / Heal 3000 / Enh 3302 / Def 0040 / Pow 0400 and I doubt a Master Force Wielder would be able to kill me because of Aura, Feedback, Absorb and Shield (unless he runs me out of Force, which would force me to cloak), which is pretty pathetic seeing I only have half of my final template. I couldnt kill him either, of course, since I dont have the necessary Force pool and regen to re-apply my defensive buffs after each breach nor do I have the necessary crowd control to keep him from cloaking.

I am a soon to be new jedi. Now in the whole aspect of "star wars", it really amazes me to see that maybe 1% of the jedi population uses the Powers tree. And I have not yet met anyone that was a Master Powers Jedi. Why is it that hardly any jedi uses powers? What do the 4 trees consist of?
Also, wasn't there a thread that showed images of all the jedi trees? I would like ot see all the jedi tress and skills to look over, if anyone remembers that link at all. Thanks

You can download a character builder on Bloodfin.org. It has all 5 Jedi skill trees, in addition to every other profession in the game.
Most Jedi just take the Force Cloak column from powers (x4xx).

In general, powers is a profession suited to group combat, and not single. Single combat, don't expect to kill anyone of similar level. It just won't happen. Group combat, you are great with area Intim, Lightning, KD, etc. It's very much something you have to know how to play. If you are looking for fun, yeah powers kinda is. Playability? If you like going alone at all, sabers is the line for you. Out of the 4 trees, 4xxx is lightning and similar mods, x4xx is mind blast and cloak, xx4x is intimidate and weaken, xxx4 is throw, strike, kd, etc., and master has the area kd, breach, and choke.

Master Force Wielder is the most difficult skillset to use effectively in the game. considering that 90% of the people in-game are looking for the 1-clicky i-win they all consider Force Wielder to be useless and worthless.

i was going to do mpowers when i first started up jedi, but i noticed that i was using my saber more then my powers and i respeced to msabers to try it out, never respeced back
i really think the warm up timers is what kills powers, they dont do that much damage and u gotta be standin still and not get hit while ur attacking. it's a hard profession to play and i've seen guys that are really good at it, jus takes time and skill.

Are you really this ignorant ?? I'll pretend u didn't say this.
How do u expect people to learn about a profession that you can learn about until you unlock it and see and try things out for yourself. You are just another one of those players who has a jedi and thinks that no one esle should have one.

Lightsabers = Damage Dealing
Powers = Damaging Crowd Control (good in both, but not exceptional in either)
Enhancer = Crowd Control
Defender = Tank
Healing = Healer
playthem has such and you'll be fine

cuz powers is a multi-person pvp temp, it aint for 1v1 and most people love 1v1 pvp so that is why....=)
