*It will take Several months

*Most will never unlcok the slot

*you only get one fs character per account

*it will be diffrent for everyone

I'm pretty convinced that they key is in training people. Training is used to gain your master skills. You can train in any number of skills, therefore it's different for everyone. They're trying to throw you off with that statement. And people are reading into it too much. It's really a simple idea. Most will never unlock it because it might take an ungodly amound of training XP to do so. Maybe it's someing crazy like 70,000 xp of training xp.

I'm betting that this is it. Any comments?

I thought there was a max level for Apprenticeship XP? I don't know what it is, but I recall an Entertainer saying that she'd been maxed out on Aprenticeship XP for a while.

May not blow a hole in the theory, but gives you something more to chew on.

BTW, This also makes sense from the standpoint that they will be very rare. Think about it. On any one server there's maybe only 3500 max people. So, there's a limited number of people to train, hence, only so many can actually become a Jedi. While there's no limit on the number of people that can be a Jedi, just based on how much training can be done at any given time based on people re-rolling characters or turnover on the server itself, there will be a limit of some sort.

Now why couldn't you master multiple base professions? Getting you pretty high up there? There should be enough skill points to max several base professions.

Maybe it has nothing to do with a cap. It could just be some arbitrary number that you reach, regardless of whether you hit your cap or not. There might be some internal register that you can't see that's keeping tabs.

Apprenticeship is capped at 1240 (2x620 what is required for master levels)

I'll have to agree. The whole of being a Jedi is also being a teacher and a student. Since they travel in pairs of Master/Padawan.

In the void after the clone ware Jedi's were hunted and killed off by the Empire. Chances are that there would have been several Jedi still alive in the universe that went under hiding. Obi-Wan was one such character whom went into hiding a long time ago right after the clone wars. Yoda too went into hiding living life as a hermet. Those were the only two masters known during the movies aside from Emperor Palpatine and Vader.

Galaxies takes place between the destruction of the first Death star and the building of the second. Jedi's in the game will need to be secretive hermits only seeking each other out to teach and learn skills... where the apprenticeship exp would start to make perfect sense. In fact, this brings another question....

How will the first Jedi's advance in their skill trees? Will they need to unlock the mysteries of Dantooine Jedi temples to find hidden shrine of Jedi masters? Will they need to find Obi-Wan's blue glowy to learn from him? They can't expect much from Luke, as he's nowhere near Jedi master in this game. He's on the same boat as the first game Jedi's. Perhaps a GM will be alerted to the creation of each Jedi and assist them in their beginning Journies.

The thing is it's going to be mystery. the fun of being a Jedi is the path to becomming one. If it was in a book or on the net, the fun would be gone. The path to Jedi master was not easy. Not everyone made it. Not everyone in the game will make it to Master. All I can say is relax. Earn up those Apprenticeship exp, stop focusing on being a Jedi and just go with it seeing where the game will take you. Chances are I wouldn't want to see half the people on this message board being Jedi's as they are impatient, and full of anger and whineyness. Jedi's are very petient and at ease. Even the dark Jedi. Palpatine was extremely patient in drawing Anakin and Luke to the dark side.... so perhaps rushing to be a jedi is the one thing that'll hold you back from becomming a Jedi.

I really doubt this will have anything to do with how your character acts. The Force Sensitive slot is meant to be the upper level play, so I think it will just poped on once the Devs/game has decided you have "Done It All" and are ready to do it again with more Risk, Like Diablo's Hell or Nightmare level....

I will say that if Jedi are like most professions, you will need that apprenticeship xp to make Master Jedi. Which means you must find a padawan you really trust (who won't blow your cover as a Jedi), or take on another profession on top of being a Jedi in which to train other people and gain apprenticeship xp that way.

Just another wrench to throw in the path to Master Jedi status.

Achieving any sort of exorbitant amount of Apprenticeship XP would require repeated training/untraining of Master professions due to the XP cap.

1) Nobody is ever going to do this through normal play.

2) No casual player is ever going to do it, period.

With that said, there's no particular reason why Mastering something could not work towards unlocking the slot (other than an old beta comment that the skill-system had nothing to do with it; but who knows what that means or if it's still true).

Yet another theory based off of what you have said: What if Apprenticship was another "key" to FS? I mean that would make sense since a master always has an apprentice.

the XP caps are only display caps you still get and keep the xp you gain past cap ive tested that with scouting xp before they nerfed maskedscent, but I highly doubt apprentice XP has ANYTHING to do with FS since you can cap apprentice xp in only a couple days and theres always going to be new players.
