Thread: Looking for feedback on those with temp MLS/DEF 4440/ENH 3xx2/HEALER 4xxx

How do you like this temp? Good for all around pvp and pve for the most part? Is it giving you enough force (channel helping) and does it provide enough Defense?

Love it.


Yes to all questions.


Every now and again when the going gets really tough I pop a steak, but thats only for things like level 86 and up. Anything lower and I breeze through it.


PvP is nice as well.


Very well rounded template.

I'm looking for information on this template aswell, thinking of switching from a dual mastery saber/def.

My template is Close to this, MLS, 4040Def,4040FH,2003FE. I find that shock, sap& drain come in REAL handy pvp..

Really I found that Sap did not do all that much for what t took to apply. The benefit vs. cost was not great.


I also found that drain was not very useful anymore, since you can only seem to do it successfully every 30 seconds. You can do it faster than that but it is only successful at that time interval.


I found Improved Force Speed much more useful, even with MLS, than Force Drain.


When and if they fixe the speed bugs on sabers, then IFS may not be all that noticeable anymore, but for now it is the one things making you faster.

I have this as well. I mostly do high end PVE but sometimes do some PVP (my saber sucks though). My previous template was MLS/Master Def 3000 heal 0002 enhancer and I hated it. Things were so slow and the heals hurt. I do miss my faster regen and my extra force but having forcerun/forcespeed/better healing more then makes up for it.

I was MLS / MDef / Heal4040 before switching to this template.


I really wanted the IFS and Force Run, not too mention the root and snare which help greatly versus BH and other ranged people. Channel Force was a big deal as well.


I found that getting in close and in main attack range was more important than being about to block anoth 25% of their shots. Someone with root and snare on you in the old template is very hard to catch and beat if they are kiting you.

cool, I was thinking the bonus of root/improved force speed, plus extra heals more than makes up for the loss of 1 line in defender/ (was previously 3000 healer 0002 enhancer, so 1500 heals would be nice )

no its not i had that and switched to 4440 defender force cost on armor is WAY to much does more harm the to defned you

So is MLS pretty much required these days? I'm currently MDef/0404LS/4004Enh/4100Heal. Works well, but I'm wondering if being more of a heavy hitter would outweigh some of the defense loss....
