The solution is real simple. The developers need to intervene first off and they haven't even addressed it.
One solution could be that they eliminate the ability to tip each other, and eliminate the option to do it through trade windows as well.
Only ones that should be getting cash are the vendors and those that do missions, but eliminate the ability to tip each other ingame.
It's gotten to the point where online companies are selling this stuff on ebay, not just the players, and this is no joke.

Oh yes there is, entertainers have the option to cover charge. You sell your rare loot to vendors that will turn around and sell it.
But in the end no one would have to pay high prices for anything because there would be no one profiting with real cash for millions of credits.

Plenty of people realize it, but the buyers and the sellers don't care. Any economy where currency is created from thin air is bound to be flawed though.
People seem to think this is an unfixable problem, and either you don't want it fixed or you can't see beyond the short term.
If everyone was given the option to /covercharge then you have solved the problem with giving hand outs to your friend.
There is nothing saying you can't go out and buy the stuff your friends cant afford.
And after this change is implemented the prices would deflate so rapidly that even the newbs could buy stuff by just doing missions.
